My wife and I enjoyed our stay in Eagle River mainly because of the beauty of fall and the lake. It was peaceful and private. Pros: 15 minutes from a decent city with Menards, Walmart, fast foods, auto services etc. Eagle River is very quant. The views of the lake are spectacular. Cabin is very dog friendly. Large kitchen. We really enjoyed the firepit outside. Cons: NO INTERNET AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT! Bathroom shower is extremely small. I am 5'9 170 and can barely wash myself. Kitchen lacks decent pans or cooking utensils. Run by a management company. Biggest complaint: Dealing with Vacasa regarding our issue with the internet. We arrived Monday evening and had internet until the next morning. I reported the issue that morning. Scott, the maintenance guy stopped by to look. 3 days go by and no word. I write each day after and get the same answer, internet provider issue. I find it hard to believe an internet provider would let a customer go a week without internet.

This cabin was on the lake. We enjoyed fishing from the pier and used the row boat. Good amenities, full kitchen, and comfy beds. We saw a beautiful bear up the road. A great place for a quiet getaway.

We had a great time at the cabin. Our dogs loved swimming off the shore, and we had a great time taking our Kayaks out on the lake. We caught plenty of Northern Pike, Walleye, and Crappie. The cabin was very cozy and felt like home. The only downfall was tons of mosquitoes.

My family spends a lot of time in the Northwoods but we have NEVER encountered as many mosquitoes as we did at this house. Our entire trip was ruined by the fact that we could not spend ANY time outside of the house. Getting through the front door or into the car was a fight with 100's of mosquitos each time. When the sun was very hot in the middle of the day we were able to go down by the water, but even then we were left with dozens of bites each. Additionally, when we arrived the whole house smelled of smoke. Again, I understand that certain times of the year the mosquitoes are worse than others, but I would suggest asking the owners to use a treatment on the property to keep the mosquitoes away. No amount of bug spray could stop them. It is a shame because the property is very secluded and our dogs enjoyed the easy access to the water.
