Just within two blocks in either direction, there are some nice points of interest. We have a café, Clatter, that sells wonderful food and drinks. On select evenings, it also operates as a music venue with a small but excellent bar. There is a vintage used clothing shop. We have an apothecary. There's a bakery with delicious breads, donuts, cookies, and pastries. (Ask me about the insider's donut shop secret if you're interested.) There is a beer, wine, and liquor store that also sells some groceries, snacks, sodas, etc. There is even an Episcopal church with a 24 hour chapel. Venture a few steps further out and there is a vinyl store in back of a vape shop. There are a few pizzerias, Chinese cuisine, Mexican cuisine, other restaurants, a diner that once fed a US President, several bars with their own distinctive styles, a speakeasy that's worth seeing, a drafthouse which is also a wonderful music venue and restaurant, an art supply store, a food co-op, a farmer's market on Fridays, clothing stores, a wonderful bookstore, a model train landscape to capture the kids' (and big kids') imaginations, a chocolatier, and much more. And, that's still just within three blocks!

There is free parking behind the apartment and metered parking on the street which is free nights and weekends. (For a few months in the winter, there is no overnight parking out front.) There is a public bus system with a stop in front of the movie theater. There are also taxi services and Uber. Everything in town is within walking distance, though, as the entire town is only about 3 miles from end to end and this apartment is near the center of town..
