The hostel and the community is so lovely and welcoming, you feel right at home. The location is amazing and the hostel has two amazing rooftops. The kitchen is really clean and the hostel is very well organized by Marcella which is amazing. Every night there is an activity to do together. The location is amazing as it is only a few meters from a supermarket and the beach. In the hostel they offer anything you need: beach towels, yoga mats, surfboards. My only issue was the the pictures of the room I booked didn’t match the room and that there was only 2 bathrooms and no seperate toilet. Would definetely recommend the community is both surfers and digital nomads

Reservé una habitación durante una semana en el Hostal de Jose y fue una experiencia muy buena. La gente simpática y con muy buena actitud, la habitación muy luminosa, cómoda y limpia. Las zonas comunes estaban muy limpias y la ubicación buenísima, queda muy cerca de la playa Las Canteras y hay mucho ambiente alrededor. Además, es un sitio muy bueno para hacer planes si viajas sólo. Me encantaría volver en algún momento.

Muy buena opción para pasar unos días en Las Palmas. El staff del hostal es muy amable y siempre hay planes con ellos y otros huéspedes. La ubicación perfecta a una manzana de la playa, del supermercado y de muchos bares y restaurantes. Las habitaciones son pequeñas pero para unos días esta bien. La cocina está muy bien y lo mejor son las terrazas.

If you're looking for fun in the sun, then Jose's place is for you. The surf house is not only located just off beautiful Las Canteras beach but there are organised group activities to join each day/night: table games night, bachata lesson+dancing in local club, karaoke in a rock bar, yoga on the roof terrace, homemade areperas on the roof terrace ... were some of the things on offer whilst I was there. Another guest hired a car to tour the island and offered places in the car to other guests, etc. Such a relaxed, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
