Thank you, Thomas for a tremendous getaway and for graciously returning a power cord! If you're looking for cozy and picturesque, this is the cabin for you! I visited with my children and parents for my son's graduation from Virginia Tech. The drive to and from the school proved a bit longer than expected and the gravel road to the cabin was a little tough on my car, but we made it work. We enjoyed the serenity of the woods and in fact, my parents went to Shenendoah National Park afterward and said our cabin location was far more beautiful! We loved our having our own private lake and firepit for smores. Loved being able to cook in and relax. The kitchen was VERY well stocked. Bathroom too. The spacious deck was a fantastic place for bird watching and reading. We feel lucky to have found this gem! One note for future renters - the upstairs area is pretty open to the downstairs, including the room with the queen bed. We had to all agree on quiet hours so upstairs folks could sleep.

A lovely, rustic stay in the mountains - just what our family of four was looking for on a spring weekend. The host was clear and communicative and added special touches to make us feel welcome. Wild turkeys wandering the meadow made Gobbler Knob the perfect fit!

We had a great time! The cabin was nice in cozy with the wood stove going, despite the very cold weather. Communication was great, even offered to let us move out dates because to the cold weather.

The property is more beautiful than the listing shows. The host is incredible, communicative, and incredibly generous. He provides all the information you need ahead of time. We know exactly what to pack, where to go, and what to expect every aspect of the way. Thomas went above and beyond to show kindness and gratitude during our stay. Location is private, and it stayed very cool at night. We even got to use the fireplace in the evenings when the days approached 75/80°. Our terrier loved running around and swimming in the pond, watching the salamanders spawn. A true slice of heaven.
