Melissa was a great host. She was friendly, responsive, and clear. She provided everything that you would reasonably expect and in some instances provided more than expected (fresh cut flowers, a full set of appliances, some drinks and snacks). The house rules are clear. Skimming over the other reviews helped my wife and I get a good sense what our stay would be like. The location was convenient for the mountain wedding venue we attended. It's also not to far from the beach areas like Rio del Mar. There are some nice cafe and breakfast options very nearby in downtown Corralitos. A bonus location highlight, at least for us, was the nearby pasture where the cows graze in the early morning. It's a peaceful countryside area w/a pretty mountain view. A good place to unwind.

Melissa's place was really lovely! The home was tastefully decorated and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We happened to be there during a strange October heatwave and temperatures reached 99 degrees. The home does not have air-conditioning, but Melissa's husband brought over an extra fan, which was very helpful. Melissa was very flexible with check-in and check-out needs, which is very accommodating when traveling. We met Melissa, who was very kind and friendly as we were checking out, and she encouraged us to take some delicious ripe fruit from the many fruit trees on the property. The one thing we would like to mention, because it is not stated in the listing, is we were informed the septic system is old and cannot tolerate ANY toilet paper. While some people may be accustomed to disposing of their soiled toilet paper in the trash can, this is not a common practice for us and probably many others.

Host was very fast to respond with any questions I had. The house was very clean and check in was easy. Overall a great place to stay!
