I travel to Eureka/Arcata/McKinleyville on occasion for work. The hotels in the area are so-so and I thought I'd give AirBnB a shot. It was terrific to have a house and all the amenities that come with it for less than what I typically pay for a hotel. The internet worked great when I needed to work between meetings. I timed the weather right because the sun shone through the front windows, creating a great ambiance. The house sits on a corner, and there is a little café across the street that serves delicious food and drinks. Across the other street is a school that provides background noise to eliminate that lonely feeling you sometimes get when working alone. There was higher traffic during drop-off and pick-up times, but nothing caused an issue with getting in or out. Lastly, the house is less than a five-minute drive from the Arcata Community Forrest. I highly recommend getting out to enjoy the beautiful area. Going for a hike after work was a trip highlight for me.
