What a picturesque spot, so pretty and utterly unique. The interior decor is beautifully finished with lovingly chosen local art and the finishing touches, robes, deck shoes, just super. We would highly recommend it!

A unique stay! From the wide open doors leading out to the comfortable and well-appointed deck on the cove to the delightful and engaging artistic interior, we enjoyed our time at the Fish Shack immensely. Val welcomed us, and our family dog, with warmth and generosity. The spaces for conversation, reflection, reading and writing are so comfortable, upstairs and down. And this location was ideal for us because we wanted to spend a day in Halifax as well as a day driving south along the water. A sincere feeling of peace and beauty embraced us at the Fish Shack.

I have to say this is my favorite airbnb so far and we rented everywhere from Lake Como, Barcelona and Kyoto. The fish shack is very comfortable and cozy, we were here for five nights and still too short. The decor is fun with high quality comfort. The linens are clean and plenty. The kitchen is well stocked which makes it easy to cook and stay in. We love having our cup of coffee out back watching fishing boats goes by and often time we bring our books out back to read. It’s secured with a net out in the patio so you don’t have to worry about kids or dogs falling into the water. The furnitures outback is very comfortable as well. This place is so special and I’m so glad the owner allows our dog to come along. Valerie is so kind to us, she left a nice welcoming message and all the things to make our stay with our dog comfortable. The town is very charming and the locals are so nice. Make sure you check out the town of Chester, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and Peggy Cove. Love it!

We had a wonderful stay at the Fish Shack. The place is beautiful. We loved all of the local art pieces and the view from the deck was amazing! The kitchen is well stocked and the bed was super comfy! Val was exceptionally helpful and responsive. We hope to return to Nova Scotia someday and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!
