We had a small house fire and booked our stay here for 2 weeks on short notice. The place was great - kitchen and bathroom were luxurious for us! Mirella had some baby equipment for us as well - Pack & Play and a High Chair! Great place, and easy to get to.
We needed a place to stay the same day we booked because of a house fire. Mirela was amazing and got us into her place right away. We truly appreciated this.
Communication with host was quick and courteous. Very pleasant to deal with. Would recommend host to anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home.
House was exactly as advertised. We needed a place for the family right after a fire. It allowed us to stay close together as things were stressful in the beginning. Everything we needed was there.
I found in this house everything I needed for a quality life. The house is decorated in the same style and I would like to note the quality design. Comfortable beds, white sheets and white towels. The house has a lot of textiles, which makes your stay comfortable. Very comfortable kitchen with many cooking utensils. Tea and coffee and drinks in the refrigerator. And there were also a lot of spices and olive oil and foil and cling film and other things that you might need in small quantities and you don’t need to buy it in the store. There is also a shaker for smoothies and cocktails. Big table. Good internet. The living room is located on the side where the road and cars drive. But the bedrooms are on the other side and quiet at night. I thank Mirela for providing a quality home.

The home is centrally located in Barrie and is a 1 hour and 20 minute drive to downtown Toronto and a 40 minute drive to Pearson International Airport. Park Place, a large outdoor shopping centre with a market vibe is a 10 minute drive from the home. I love eating and shopping here. I really love going here and getting food from a homey Italian restaurant called The Italian Eatery, Mr.Greek, Twisted Indian Wraps, Freshii, Pita Pit, Booster Juice, and Teriyaki Experience. There are other big name sit in restaurants like The Keg Steakhouse + Bar, Spoon and Fork, Lone Star Texas Grill, Buffalo Wild Wings, Milestones, The Canadian Brewhouse, and The Burger’s Priest.
Other retail stores located in Park Place are Cabela’s, Best Buy, Michaels, Ashley HomeStore, Bed Bath and Beyond, HomeSense, Winners, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Marshalls, Dollarama, Old Navy, Sport Chek, Urban Barn, and much more.

The house is also a short 7 minute drive to Centennial Park Beach and Splash Ontario Waterpark. It’s the newest waterfront attraction opening summer 2022. Splash ON is a GIANT floating playground. A massive obstacle course in the lake that includes climbing walls, monkey bars, slides, swings, trampolines & more. Note: Ages 5+, children 5-8 require an Adult Chaperone to go out on the structure with them. Chaperone passes are only available when accompanying a child 5-8 years old. Children 9+ are able to go out on their own. No maximum age! All participants are required to wear life jackets, we provide them or you can bring your own but must be Canada Coast Guard approved. All participants must have a basic level of swimming and be comfortable in the water. Splash ON is located at a Public Beach in downtown Barrie, Ontario.
Sunnidale Park (6 minute drive from house)
Eastside of Sunnidale Road, between Letitia Street & Cundles Road West
Description: This 48.5-acre park is located in Barrie's north-west corner and was originally home to the Barrie Country Club. Today the park features playground equipment, the Dorian Parker Community Centre, the Barrie Arboretum, parking, and great trails.
Directions: Exit Hwy 400 at Dunlop Street East, turn left onto Anne Street, follow Anne Street to Cundles Road and turn right (or Bayfield Street to Cundles Road and turn left) follow a few minutes down the road to Sunnidale Road and the park.
Waterfront Trail Along Kempenfelt Bay (6 minute drive from house)
Description: Approximately 6.7 km of mostly flat, paved trail. Access anywhere along Barrie's Lakefront parks, with parking at the Southshore Community Centre and other lots along Lakeshore Drive.
Ardagh Bluffs (10 minute drive from house)
Description: 17 km of trails over 524 acres, most of which are zoned Environmentally Protected (EP). The trail system is used for walking and hiking; use of motorized vehicles within the Bluffs is not permitted. Trails run through the wooded area of County Rd. 27 and Ardagh Road in the south-west end of Barrie.
Directions: Exit Hwy 400 at Essa Road, travel southwest to Mapleton Avenue, right on Mapleton, park at The Peggy Hill Community Centre and access the trail across the street.
