自我介绍

We LOVE being AIRBNB hosts, welcoming people to our lovely island lifestyle. My husband, Carl, and I are retired Bainbridge Island teachers. I retired from elementary school teaching in June 2014, after 40 years in the classroom. Carl's career also spanned 40 years in both elementary and middle school classrooms. We LOVE to travel! The HIGHLIGHT travel/living experience for us was teaching at the Rabat American School in Morocco from 2008-2012. We have returned 3 times since we left! We love the people, the culture, the diversity of the environment. We have 4 sons. Andrew lives in Poland, (with our 8 year old grandson, Andy, whose mom is Polish) Alex lives in Bali, Tom(wife/Amy/1 year old grandson, Liam) live in Akron, Ohio and finally, Ben, lives close by in Seattle. They all live very interesting and fulfilling lives. Carl enjoys his busy life as a local woodworker. I enjoy my volunteer work at our local food bank as well as supporting refugee causes. I also run an after school enrichment club for 4 kids once week that I find richly rewarding and...FUN! We love to meet new people, sharing our collective life experiences.
