We live down the street and needed a place to stay last minute for a few days. Abigail was a great host and has created an amazing space. *If you stay here in the spring, take a moment at dusk to sit on the front porch. I've never seen more fireflies in my life!
Abigail’s place was extremely clean and comfortable. Super responsive and accommodating as well. The home isn’t super close or far from downtown, and it’s not a walkable area imo, but we prefer having quiet evenings and being away from busy-ness and traffic. Close to a couple of our favs— Medici coffee and Mam Mam (small asian fusion cafe). We loved the cozy beds and having a home to ourselves. Wonderful amenities too— clean towels, washer/ dryer, ample amount of toiletries, and very functional kitchen. If using the heater or AC unit, it is quite loud and abrupt when it turns on, and it is hard to sleep through. We utilized AC during the day (cant sleep through humidity) & ceiling fans at night. Bonus— lots of fireflies in the backyard at night!

Abigail’s airbnb is one of the cleaniest and coziest places I’ve stayed. I was traveling alone for a work conference and felt completely at home and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The house is located in East Austin - a walkable and hip neighborhood with lots of restaurants and coffee shops.
Within a 2 minute drive and 10 minute walk away, you have the Austin local favorite coffee spot - Palomino Coffee. It's actually my favorite coffee, and I got about once a day. Try the cold brew and the space was designed by a local female interior designer.
Nearby, there is some of the best Mexican food at Nixta Taqueria - a causal, hip spot that was recently nominated for a James Beard award. Birdie's is a great place for wine and bites in a cute outdoor patio. You also have Springdale General for Caffe Medici, Align Pilates, and Broad Studios. Franklin BBQ, Paperboy, and all the other coveted East Austin spots are nearby! Live music and breweries are also close by.
East Austin is such a fun place to explore - with many restaurants, boutique shops, local coffee spots and bars. If you want any recommendations, we are more than happy to provide! It is one of our favorite neighborhoods in ATX.
