Amitabh's Cottage is very perfectly located for people from Mumbai to visit. It is just before the Kasara Ghat begins. It's in Orange City and this area is lush green. You can hear the birds chirping in the mornings. The place is very cosy and comfortable. The caretaker does a good job of the upkeep. A lady comes in to clean as well. I believe his usual cook was not in and the Caretaker did the cooking - which was not as great as the rave reviews posted earlier. But, am sure Amitabh will take care of this as seems to be a great host. The place has an inverter which can run the basic lights etc for over 10 hours almost. That is absolutely well thought out...as the electricity in these parts is erratic. In fact, on our second night of stay there was a power outage in the whole area and wasn't restored till the next morning around 11am. That's a good 10 hours without power. The weather was perfect - rained most times. There are a couple of swings, a terrace and some lovely trees all around that attracts the birds. It's a safe, gated locality.

Very pretty place! However the host is extremely impolite and rude, which was very surprising. He accused us of ‘sneaking’ in extra people when 4 of us had booked the entire villa. Got personal when he spoke and threatened us, which was very uncomfortable. The caretaker was extremely helpful though when there was no water supply for 20 hours despite us having repeatedly informed the host.

Location : 2 mins away from Highway , just at starting of KAsara Ghat . Peace full in and around property . House is good for 7-8 members . Fully ventilated , clean good outdoor sitting area .. Old Uncle Caretaker but a good cook and available round the clock. Amitabh is welcoming and keeps a check on you r u comfortable or not . Ideal for Group Party , Family Party .will recommend .
