Nice house, good location, good value. There are some quirks that people should be aware of before booking: - This is a 3-story house, with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, kitchen/LR/half bath one flight up, and 2 bedrooms with en-suite full bathrooms on the 3rd floor. That means stairs are unavoidable, and anyone sleeping on the ground floor has to go up 1 flight to use the bathroom and 2 flights then through another bedroom to use a shower. This was a challenge for the grandparents (70s and 80s) in our party, and we would not have booked if we'd known. The description does say "must climb stairs." - One upstairs bedroom has no climate control. It has a fan but no heat. - Access is via one shared key kept in a lockbox; if anyone accidentally pockets the key instead of putting it back in the lockbox, everyone else is locked out. Not a big deal, just need to be vigilant. - The fridge is not plumbed, so there's no filtered water or icemaker, but they did supply a bag of ice.

Our stay at this Portland Airbnb was nothing short of exceptional. Kaiya's responsiveness is something other hosts should strive for. The location of this Airbnb is ideal for those looking to explore Portland. There are some restaurants just around the corner, grocery store just down the street and other shopping nearby. Additionally, the proximity to downtown made it convenient for us to explore the city's attractions without hassle. Kaiya's place has street parking readily available, we never had to worry about finding a spot for our vehicle. The accommodation itself was a cozy oasis, providing us with a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. The space was thoughtfully designed and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

We spent most of our time in Portland out and about, so Kaiya’s place mostly met the needs of a crash pad. It was a little awkward coordinating showers with both full baths being en-suite, but we’re good pals/wasn’t a huge deal (just should’ve paid more attention to photos/layout). The fireplace didn’t work and one en suite bedroom doesn’t have climate control, but otherwise Kaiya’s spot worked for us for a long weekend.
