We had a great week at Tameka's place. It is in walking distance of the main W145 Street station which is served by express Subway trains from Downtown making it convenient to get to all the main attractions. The apartment is pleasant and well-equipped, while its location means it's great value. The only issue we had was with the locks on the main apartment building doors which we sometimes struggled with. Luckily manager Nichelle lives next door so was on hand to help when we needed it. But the locks are something that need addressing. While some people might be worried about staying in Harlem (which used to have a reputation) we had no problems and everyone we met was pleasant and helpful. In fact, the reputation that New Yorkers have for being brash and rude is a myth in our experience as just about every local we've interacted with has been great. Thank you Tameka and Nichelle for a great stay.

Vor dem Check in hat die Kommunikation nicht so gut funktioniert. In der Unterkunft waren Kissenbezüge mit Löchern, Kleber um die Matratze und es war nicht ganz sauber. Die Umgebung hat sich nicht sehr sicher angefühlt und Probleme mit dem Schlüssel hatten wir auch (ein Nachbar kam zeitgleich mit uns ins Haus und er hatte keine Probleme mit seinem Schlüssel).

La anfitriona ha sido amable y rapida en sus respuestas en todo el momento. El apartamento esta junto a una parada de metro que llega en 20minutos a Times Square. Lo unico que no nos ha gustado ha sido que el apartamento esta deteriorado, nosotros lo encontramos sucio y con mil y una cosas personales en todo el apartamento, incluso cosas de higiene personal… (la gran mayoria de Airbnb que solemos alquilar suelen estar sin las cosas personales del propietario). Por otro lado, una llave del portal no tenia facil abertura y al transmitirlo, en vez de darnos otro juego de llaves nos dijeron que para entrar picaramos a un vecino (que hubiera pasado si el vecino no estaba o hubieramos llegado de madrugada?) Por lo general el piso tiene buena relacion calidad precio y es comodo, pero esta anticuado y deberia entregarse mas limpio y vacio de cosas personales. Great place. Very quiet and comfortable home. next to the 3 line, and a short walk to the express A and D lines. Supermarket and restaurants close by as well as NYSC. Next to the park. I felt right at home as there was everything i needed. Enough towels and linens, all cooking utensils and even an air fryer and blender. Tameka was great communicating and ready to help. A few cons: the laundry facility was not available, the central heating regulator did not work well (it was too warm at times, but was appreciated during the cold winter), the living room and smaller room were not naturally bright, needed to use the lights during daytime as well. Another thing that i dislike (but this is my personal preference) is that it does feel like someones home. They have their stuff still in the house, some pantries and closets locked and some other things around. I would definitely book it again.
