Our stay at Ovensdale was wonderful! We had everything we needed and plenty of space for two families (including one dog). The location is gorgeous with the river running behind the backyard. It's also very handy to Mt Hotham, especially if you have your own car.

Truly this place feels like home away from home. Great for a weekend getaway or using as a base to go up to the mountains. Looking forward to visiting the area again and staying here in the future.

The house is super convenient if you’re looking to Ski Mt Hotham. It was comfortable, clean and had sufficient heating to stay warm in winter. The photos are also true to life. The only downside to the property is that check in and check out is through an agent in Bright. We didn’t know this prior to booking, so one of our guests had to cut out their last day of skiing to return the keys. A bit of a shame really, if they had a return box on site the cleaner could return them to Bright after cleaning (which they have to do anyway) saving the customer the trip and allowing you to ski on your final day.

Great location if your looking for something cheaper to stay at while going up to Mt Hotham. Really spacious and all around great experience from start to finish.
