The Conifer Cabin is a private mountain escape outside of Denver. Clean modern design, a massive deck built for outdoor living with panoramic views and quiet woods. Our goal is communal comfort & serenity for those seeking to escape the city for rest, nature, or refreshment. Idyllic family-friendly space to enjoy morning coffee with a view, stargaze in the hot tub, hammock, read by the fire, watch the seasons change, and see wildlife! The Conifer Cabin is set on a quiet street in the mountains. Because of that ***ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES OR LOUD MUSIC*** We want to do everything in our power to honor our neighbors. No smoking of any kind in the house or anywhere on the property. Please see our house rules for full list of rules. You'll have the entire house (4 bedroom, 2 bathrooms) and property to yourself. There are four bedrooms total. Two king rooms, a queen with a trundle, and a bunk room. The master bath has been renovated with a walk-in penny tile rain shower, quartz countertops, and the second bath with Cle tile. There are 3- Four Seasons brand mattresses, one firm Casper king, 100% linen and cotton duvet covers, CB2, Room & Board, Studio McGee and vintage furniture. The scenic views span across the pleasant park corridor valley looking at Samson Peak. At night you can see the Denver city lights. The outdoor area includes a forest hot tub with robes and slippers provided, a large farm table with teak chairs and four Adirondack chairs with a propane fire pit perfect for enjoying a glass of wine, reading in the afternoon, and a propane grill & fire pit for enjoying the mountain evenings. There are two enclosed, but not insulated three-season porches with gorgeous mountain views as well.
Alyssa's cabin is tranquil to the extreme, if such a thing exists! The feeling of handcrafted space and materials is abundant. Most of the living space being on 2nd floor, it feels like a treehouse. So peaceful, very charming. We could be friends with them, they had a coffee grinder for our family of snobs, multiple fire places including firewood for the incredible wood burning stove, record player etc. It was a forested woodsy retreat that we'd have created almost exactly if we had our own cabin. Our routine looked like: coffee, homemade waffles (we added their model maker to our amazon list), sit by the fire, go out for activity, come back to hot tub, make dinner with records playing, add whisky to the limeade they left for us, sit by wood burning fire. Essentially the perfect weekend. Do be sure to bring proper footwear in the winter, the entryway is extremely icy, very risky for falls and quite difficult for children. We are hoping to come back during color changes in fall
We had a short but sweet stay at Alyssa’s spot. We were traveling with our 2 year old and there was a cute miniature kitchen for him to play with and Mikey Mouse records for him to dance to. Our stay did get cut short as it was difficult for my mother to navigate the snowy driveway, stairs and small furniture due to a recent surgery. These things that were as described in the listing, but it wasn’t until we arrived that I realized it wasn’t going to work for us. The hosts were kind and we were able to work it out so that we could check out early. We really appreciate them for that. Conifer is remote and sleepy, but this spot was homey. It’s close to Denver and to Evergreen, where I grew up. If you head to Evergreen any time during your visit - I highly recommend Wild Flower, it’s a must stop for me every time I’m home.
We had a wonderful time at Alyssa’s cabin! The location is beautiful and a good home base to explore CO from!
Exiting a scenic highway, you drive down a valley and then up to a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful views and wooded surroundings.
Reminder that the terrain is steep and parking on our driveway is required on our quiet cul-de-sac with the plow route. As such, AWD is necessary in the winter months.
