Joseph's home in Collington Harbor serendipitously turned out to be the perfect location during our initial OBX adventure--both as home base hangout and launch pad. Difficult to do it justice with photos. The views across the estuary and sound from deck and dock are magical. And the stars! The house is bright with light and vistas brought in through large windows. Next trip, we'll look forward to taking advantage of the plethora of perks (sports equipment, firepit...) but this was a too-short stay. The winding road from Hwy 158 to Colington Harbor takes you past a prime view of the Wright Brothers Memorial (monument) and a tiny grass airstrip. Easy access to Jockey Ridge State Park, the Cotton Gin (hang gliding), and even lovely little Manteo on Roanoke Island. Had no idea that the Sound Side would be so welcoming, refreshing and relaxing.

Great stay! The house had everything we needed to feel right at home. It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. It was a bit chilly and windy when we were there, but we did get out on the kayaks one morning which was fun. The neighborhood is quiet and within a 15-20 minute drive to anywhere in Kitty Hawk or Nag's Head. Very spacious house and great yard too. Highly recommend!

This was the coolest house I've ever rented on Airbnb. The deep water canal is very nice. I had coffee on the dock every morning I was there. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful surroundings. The house is very nice. Beautiful kitchen, comfortable beds. We felt right at home. Will definitely try to book this location again. This was our second stay in one of Joseph's properties and he is a great host. Can't recommend enough, except that if I boast about it too much it'll be too in demand to rent again 😀

Amazing stay! We could not love this place more. We love it so much that this was our second time at this house in 3 months. Joseph’s house is absolutely perfect, is in an incredible location right on the water, and has kayaks for you to use right off your own dock. It’s centrally located for all our favorite OBX adventures, like driving on the beach and looking for wild horses in Corolla, visiting the wonderful aquarium in Manteo, hiking the dunes in Jockey’s Ridge Park, going to the endless amazing beaches, and seeing gorgeous sunsets, including right from your own dock. This place is an absolute gem. Joseph is super easy to work with and very responsive. He also has great recommendations for things to do. We can’t wait to return!
