My family and I had a great time at Will's place. It is the perfect weekend getaway, feeling like a genuine holiday while being easily reachable from Nairobi on a Friday afternoon. We loved the walk over the wobbly bridge to the Kitengela Glass factory and the very easy access to Maasai Lodge and their pool. We were well looked after by Maina at the property, making use of the BBQ as we spent much of the evening on the beautiful verandah. Highly recommended for a weekend escape.

We stayed at Will's place with two small children (1 & 3 years old) and we enjoyed it. Access to Masai Lodge & Kitengela Hot Glass (both with swimming pools) is awesome. The place is basic, but everything works and is well run. Would definitely consider coming back here for a weekend.

This is a delightful cottage on the edge of Nairobi National Park. We saw impala close to the cottage and heard a lot of lions in the night. The cottage has an interesting set up with bedrooms along one side of an open garden and kitchen and living space opposite the bedrooms. The best area is the verandah that looks directly into open bush with views into the national park. We arrived late (around 6pm), having spent the day in the national park. We still received a warm and friendly welcome. There is a good covered parking area. We ate out in the evening and had a basi breakfast, so didn't really test the kitchen area. The friendly staff offered to walk us to Kitengela Glass, which we would have taken up, had it not been for us facing a long drive to Nakuru - a challenge with the rest of Nairobi also travelling for Christmas. This is a peaceful cottage with amazing views.

Wills place was amazing. We had such a great time. Lovely for families as well. would recommend this place to anyone. It's a gem within the city. home away from home. Nancy the chef was amazing , and Maina and Nasera were of great help too.

Silole House is an authentic Kenyan retreat with Will at the helm, and having the most genuine support staff. The house is built around a lovely and safe interior courtyard complete with nesting birds in the trees. Three comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, cozy kitchen and living spaces, and an amazing veranda for enjoying sunrises, sunsets, siestas, and dining while soaking in pure, unspoiled nature complete with an abundance of wildlife sounds and bird/animal spotting. Eat the meals there, cooked by Nancy (Mbithe)! She’s a talented, intuitive cook. You can grab a ride to get groceries, and allow her to use her skill and creativity to create delicious, healthy meals. Then there is lovely Tukiko who can take you where you need to go, and Maina, Mwangi and Nasera who are also so warm, helpful and informative. Will is a very personable, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and authentic. He loves his land and animals and you will too. Take his game drive! We can’t wait to return to Silole.
