Gorgeous property in beautiful Covington neighborhood. Clean, convenient, cozy, authentic, well kept, looks better than on pictures. Perfect for a family getaway, we spent most of our time outside chilling by the pool, grilling, running around the property or relaxing on the porch. Bogue Chitto State Park is in about 25 minutes drive, tons of activities in Covington. Cons - other people staying in a studio in the backyard during our stay. We were aware about grounds keeper living on the property, but didn't expect other visitors to show up at the same time. It was not an issue for us, but for your full privacy check with the host whether you're sharing pool/backyard with someone else on your dates.

Where to start!! We were allowed early check-in if we wanted but we got there after 5pm due to taking a few side trips on the way. Mark and sweet Elvis, the cat, met us at the house after we drove up the winding driveway and parked in the designated area. Mark gave us a wonderful tour so we knew where everything was. After unpacking we had dinner at the Beer Garden, came back and enjoyed the hottub. Elvis was everywhere, right with us. At night we let him sleep in the cabin with us, he was a great snugglebuddy, helped ease my anxiety of missing my kitty here back home. Here in Texas pools here always feel like bathwater warm; the pool at Fais-A-Do was chilly to us, so we mainly stayed in the hottub. We spent Saturday at the Farmers Market and went to Don's for dinner, both were recommended by Jordan and Mark and did not disappoint! We had ice cream at EPIC Creamery for dessert as a tribute to our good friend that passed away. We were sad to leave, but we will definitely be back!

Beautiful home and property, listing pictures don’t do it justice. Felt secluded and private but not far from town and things to do. Relaxing pool and hot tub and a large beautiful yard with a pond. Friendly host and property caretaker. Elvis is awesome and made great friends with our son. We definitely enjoyed our vacation here.

Very peaceful and beautiful home and property. Mark was friendly and gave us helpful tips on how to catch fish. We loved Elvis the cat!
