In the Southern Gers, bordering the Haute Pyrenees is out renovated gites. Modern and fully equipped. With decking for outdoor dining. Large open outside space. 5 km from the town of Plaisance. 15km from Marciac where the Jazz in Marciac festival is held each year and just 20 minutes drive from the Nogaro racing circuit. Open plan living room and kitchen. Kitchen is fully equipped including tea towels and dish cloths. TV with French channels and English on request. Tiled flooring and toilet and wash basin on the ground floor. Upstairs 2 double bedrooms, both with hanging rail. Hard wood floors. Shower room with basin and toilet. Heated towel rail. A laundry room is available and has a washer, drier rack, Iron and Ironing board available. Outside is a large deck with table and chairs. A gas BBQ, and some sun chairs to relax in. WIFI available.

Séjour très agréable dans un lieu calme et reposant. Le logement est très propre bien agencé lumineux avec tout le confort nécessaire. Les hôtes sont disponibles tout en restant discrets. Le plat de charcuterie à notre arrivée au top et le petit déjeuner excellent. Nous sommes restés quatre jours . Pour nous, ce fût un vrai repos. Nous espérons pouvoir y revenir plus longtemps et continuer à découvrir la région qui est vraiment agréable à découvrir. Janine et Jean-Luc
I stayed at Jane's and Peter's Airbnb with a friend for 5 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The place is exactly as it is described on the listing, it is of course in very rural France so it all depends what you are looking for (a car is needed to get around). The cottage is super clean, very functional, has all amenities required, and we even had hundreds of international channels including from the UK. We also had a wonderful breakfast in the morning - a treat with fresh croissants. The place is quiet, the hosts are very responsive, helpful and friendly. We felt at home. A lovely, cosy place for a few days in the countryside surrounded by good restaurants too!
Jane and Peter are the perfect hosts. We have never experienced a BnB that is so well equipped. The kitchen really lacked nothing. The beds were very comfortable and the plentiful towels were soft and fluffy. The bathroom was great and we had lots of hot water. The whole apartment was in a very clean and immaculate condition. Peter and Jane were very accommodating and helpful with great tips of the area. We were allowed to bring our dogs which we really appreciated. Nearby and within easy walking distance is la Maison de l'eau, a 100 hectare nature reserve through which the river Adour flows and which consists of a number of remarkable habitats. From the Maison de l'eau, you can walk directly to the Sentier de l'Adour, a 130 km hiking trail that runs along the river from Aire sur l'Adour to Dax. It had a 2-hour circular route, perfect for our dog walks. We recommend rubber boots in spring. We really enjoyed our stay with Jane and Peter in their beautiful house.

Our village has a small restaurant/takeaway serving food using local produce.
Surrounding towns have great restaurants. We are in the heart of the vineyards of St Mont and Madiran. Also many producers of Armagnac.
And of course the Musketeers.
Limited public transport.
Car, Motorcycle or cycle.

I moved to France in July 2019 with my husband Peter, my parents and 2 dogs. We chose this area, for its quality of life, clean air, good food and of course the wine. We live about 5kms from the small bastide town of Plaisance, on the edge of a little village Ju-Belloc. We have completely renovated the Gites. We hope you like them. The Gites are named after favourite flowers from my grandmother and Peter’s father. Outside each gite has a large decked area, with table and chairs, a gas bbq. There is plenty of space to walk, kick a ball, or to sit and watch the wildlife, or to gaze at the stars. We are adding improvements all the time and if you have any comments that could make your stay better, please do send a message. We will always do our best to initiate ideas from guests if it is possible. We can provide a breakfast to you in your gite if you wish. This will need to be ordered 24hrs in advance. We look forward to welcoming you to Au Mounrudeu.
