Pini is a little hamlet just above the village of Volada. It is said by many to be the most beautiful area of Karpathos. With lush green surroundings and a great climate at an altitude of 600 meters it is paradise for the hikers. The vineyard here grows amazingly and fresh water streams at the local water source for people to fill up their drinking bottle all year round. Pini offers great views of Volada, Pigadia, Achata and Ammopi. The peace and calmness of the area lets you enjoy the local wildlife; goats are running around and amazing predator birds are flying making an appearance every few minutes. You have to experience Pini when you visit Karpathos.

The best way to explore Pini is on foot, but you can also drive around as there are plenty of roads leading to the pretty little churches and view points of the area. Parking is easy! There is so little traffic that you can simply park on the side of the wide road and other possible vehicles will pass.
