This was our first time renting a cottage as a family of four with two tiny kids, and it was perfect for us. The place was clean and well-equipped with everything you’d need. Chris is really responsive to questions and a generous host, providing everything from a dish sponge to bedsheets (many cottage rentals ask you to being your own) to use of his washer/dryer (and even providing laundry detergent pods) — which really made packing so much easier. The swing set and shallow, sandy beach was perfect for our four-year-old. We all loved taking the kayaks under the little bridge that crosses the river alongside the property. We normally like to rent something more secluded — and this cottage is definitely in close proximity with the neighbouring properties — but we didn’t mind it at all because everything else about the place was pretty close to perfect. All in all, one of the most enjoyable and comfortable cottage rentals we’ve stayed in.

The cottage was so cute. I've never had a cottage that was so well appointed with supplies, amenities, and enough storage space for groceries. The lake was clear and lovely to swim in with a tiny beachy area that was great for the kids. We used the kayaks and canoe to have mini adventures exploring the lake with and its giant sandbar, tons of fish to watch, and even birds like King Fishers and Swans. The fire pit was fantastic and we enjoyed fires while watching the water skiers, boats, and kayakers on the lake. We made some wonderful family cottage memories.

Our stay at Chris’s place was perfect! Everything we could have needed was there. My family and I enjoyed many hours fishing, kayaking, swimming around the dock, bonfires. Netflix was a nice option for the one rainy day we had. There was also a cupboard with craft supplies and games which was great also. We would absolutely love to stay here again!

This place was an absolute breath of fresh air! We stayed for 4 nights and could have stayed for way more. We have 2 couples , a 5 year old , a 6 year old and a dog and it had so much space for everyone . The girls LOVED their room and the beds were so comfortable. Everything you could think of needing while away from home , Chris has thought of it. We had one hiccup with the water pressure and Chris had a plumber in first thing in the morning to fix it. We appreciated his communication and urgency to fix our tiny bump in our vacation! The place was spotless, quiet and so so relaxing! They had so much activities that we ended up just staying at the air bnb instead of leaving to go do other activities! We all agreed this place is a 12-10 and we will definitely be making this our annual summer family vacation spot ! * side note ! You need $2.50 per bag when dropping off the garbage! So bring a handful of change with you ! Thanks so much for everything Chris !
