Love the place, a great eco adventure!!! We love Vinito who made us honorary members of his family. We especially enjoyed eating wonderful dinners prepared by vinito’s wife Julia and Vinitos Son, Johnny was always available to meet any special request. The room and beds were comfortable and the stars at night were amazing.

This is a great location if you want to stay on a floating island! We did it for 2 nights, Its a once in a lifetime experience and not you typical AirBnB. The water was very hot for a shower to warm you up on the chilly nights. Each night we got a warm bottle of water to put in bed with us to keep us warm. We were toasty warm at night with all of the blankets and the water bottle. Johnny was a great help and was so helpful for whatever we needed. * We paid 100 Soles per person for the island tour to see the school, church and other islands, plus this included the Taquile Island tour please note to bring water with you on this tour as it is an up hill hike. We would have if we knew we had a hike, and we would have brought hiking poles to help my mother in law that is in her 70s. Also be sure to get the cell number for Benito so you can get a ride back after they drop you off. We got dropped off in Puno for a bite to eat and shopping then took a taxi to the port for them to pick us up to take us back to the airbnb. You have to be back on the island at 530. * My husband spoke spanish so I am guessing that was a help in many ways after reading some of the reviews of people being charged more $ for boat rides. *His wife will try and sell you stuff and if you don't purchase from her you will get the cold shoulder and an attitude for the rest of the trip. We wanted a blanket and she didn't sell those and was mad when we brought back some we bought and we didn't buy from her. *Bring $$$$ no credit cards accepted here so bring money with you. *There is no key for you to lock the door when you leave, but you can lock it at night. They came into our room but seemed to only shut the curtains and nothing was moved. *Dinner is NOT included and they do not tell you the cost or that its not included until your checkout. It was 30 Soles per person. You don't have much choice on where to eat when you stay here since you are stuck on the island with them. Breakfast is included. They should really add a sign with dinner time and cost. *When you enter Uros you have to pay a fee to the lady sitting there it was 6 or 8 soles per person on the boat. *A ride on Totora AKA the Mercedes Benz was 10 soles a person (he told us 15 the day before and then changed it day of to 10) This was a really fun thing to do to learn about the islands and it gives a great view on top. *Bring with you snacks, water and drinks as well as there isn't a shop to go to once you are on the island. *It was 120 soles one way for the tax from the airport to the island Benito set that up it was very helpful. Overall it was a great experience and we suggest you try it out just be prepared and bring lots of cash.
