Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und in einer guten Lage! Kann ich nur empfehlen. Abdulrahman ist super sympathisch und gut erreichbar!

I stayed at Abdulrahman's place for a month while attending classes at the Arab Academy in Garden City (20 min walk). The apartment is close to a metro station, which made getting around the city super easy (no sitting in traffic!), though it does mean you have some noise from trains going by until about midnight. The apartment is just like the photos, comfortable, lots of plants, and it's super helpful to have access to a washer. One drawback (which happens in other neighborhoods as well) is water pressure often drops during the day, so you need to be strategic about when you shower or do laundry. Abdulrahman was super welcoming, thoughtful, and communicative when I had issues that needed to be resolved. He was not in Cairo during my stay but I got the sense we would have enjoyed each other's company! Side note, if you make yourself a regular at the the little store around the corner, you may start meeting neighbors and making friends!

I had a great time staying at Abdulrahman's place in Mounira! His apartment was comfortable with lots of spots to read and work as well as a well-equipped kitchen to cook in. Although the street was fairly busy during the day, I found the apartment very quiet and peaceful at night. Also, everyone in the neighborhood was super friendly and it was an easy bus ride to many places in the city as well as within walking distance to a good veggie market at Saad Zaghlul Metro Station and a cheap gym for men (Kimo Gym). Abdulrahman himself was easygoing, communicative, and, even though he was out of town during my stay, made sure that I was able to check in and out smoothly. He even took time to check in over video-call shortly after I arrived and make sure that I was comfortable. Thanks again Abdulrahman!

Abdulrahman was a great host. He was super responsive although I reached out to him on such a short notice. He was super helpful and made sure to make me feel like home and answer all my questions on how to get around. The place was very cozy, clean and it’s also very central. The internet was stable and I was able to conduct my online meetings seamlessly. I only wish I had stayed longer!

I took a risk booking Abdul's place, as there were no reviews at the time, nor photos of the bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised to find his apartment much nicer than my initial expectations. The bedroom was spacious bed comfortable. There was both a desk in my room and a large one in the common area from which I was able to work uninterrupted. The shower was hot with strong water pressure and the kitchen versatile. I adore the aesthetics of this place, as Abdul is classy in his designing and my stay felt authentic to the local culture. This Airbnb is positioned in a small community off a main road. If you want to see the real Egypt, walking these streets after dark is an eye opener; it breaks your heart for the homeless and encourages you with the comradery. This stay was the perfect experience for me, as I felt perfectly safe and clean inside the apartment, while the reality of refuse and poverty can be seen (and interacted with) just outside the window. In my three weeks, I made friends with a few of the local shopkeepers and was known as a friend of Abdul. For his part, Abdul is a well spoken intellectual. He's someone I trust completely and I look forward to staying with him again on my next visit to Cairo. 10/10
