very clean and well designed place. furniture was tidy and the beds were very comfortable.kitchen was clean and some refreshments for guest was a very good gesture by the host. well worth the money.

Alan cancelled at 7.15am the morning we were meant to stay, he did offer an alternative apartment but didn’t meet our needs.

For a one night, it was convenient stop in our journey especially with the takeaway places and grocery stores. Other than that, the place needs better cleaning and new towels. There was a big hole on one of them and a dead bug in the shower.

BEWARE THIS AIRBNB The booking: Alan hides a sneaky instruction that a £150 security deposit is required to be transferred via a third party to their account. This is against the rules of Airbnb. The Flat: NOT EVEN THE FLAT IN THE PHOTOS! Filthy, mattress stained, strange bugs found in the bed (had to “sleep” on sofa bed), toilet brush covered in poo, blinds broken, handles missing, freezer draws cracked. Roasting hot did not sleep. Horrible smells throughout building. The host: Alan messaged on the day of our booking demanding the 150 pound deposit. I questioned with screen shots of Airbnb T&Cs as I didn’t feel comfortable with the payment. When I questioned, Alan said he won’t explain the deposit with me and my only option was pay or cancel, ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL! Rude and unhelpful. The worse Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. I have photos of all of this and will be filing an official complaint.
