This ground floor apartment was perfectly placed for a family event in Hest Bank. We checked in late without any issues. We immediately found no hot water and the heating did not work. It was freezing. I messaged the host and we went to bed. Host replied at c5.30am suggesting maintenance would be on the way round. On waking - still no hot water so could not shower, nor was the heating functioning. I messaged host at c8am, 8.30am and 9am - no response. After returning home I again messaged the host and finally had a reply at c4.30pm stating that maintenance had attended and had found hot water and heating in good order. Nonsense and particularly ridiculous given 11am check-out time! We saw nobody come to try and sort the problem while we were there. It is 9.14pm now, have requested a refund - no reply. Also - wifi in details does not exist and back deck covered in cigs/rubbish, birthday decorations left up from previous, place smelled of cigarettes and fridge was dirty/frozen.

We stayed for one night on our way back south, for a journey break. The ground floor apartment is shown as Bayview one, when really it is 18A Coastal Road, There is no picture of the outside, but it was easy to find and access from the directions given, with on street parking. The apartment is spacious and well decorated with very comfortable beds and comfortably furnished. The Kitchen was large but just adequately equipped. It is close to a railway level crossing which seemed to be busy, but double glazing reduced the sounds at night. There is a nice cosy micro pub a few doors down, and Morcambe Bay shore just minutes walk away, good for walks & coastal bird watching.
