Nauvoo is a great historic site to learn about pioneer, frontier life. This house lets you actually live in it. It dates from when the Latter Day Saints build the town and is really a chance to live history. We were surprised how well the little house worked for our family of six. The house has all the historic charm, but has also tastefully incorporated modern heating and plumbing. The modern appliances are mostly tucked neatly out of view (the stove and dishwasher are out, but that makes sense). Modern windows and heating made things really comfortable. The kitchen was well provisioned. There were lots of games and books to keep a family entertained, but TVs and DVD players if you wanted some technology. There's lots of period decor. We loved it.

This is an old pioneer home it has squeaky floors, but this adds to the charm of staying in a 1800's home. Tina was very nice and responsive. Would recommend this homes for anyone wanting to get a fill of what Nauvoo was like in the 1800's

This is a historic pioneer home but it definitely has maintenance issues and needs some TLC.
