Although I would've loved to have scored this stay higher (since it's close to lovely Lake Michigan and its bathing facilities as well as within easy walking distance to Anderssonville and a great area in general), I have to be honest for the review system to be of any value for future guests. The main criticism is that the airbnb description does not always match reality. There's a railway line a couple of houses down with trains running from 5/6am-11pm detracting from any real tranquility; although there is just about wifi, it's not enough to be able to work from the house ( but there are cafés with excellent wifi closeby) and the outside garden at the back was uninviting due to dirty seats. Sadly, there was little, if any, understanding for our comments. Had the description with photos been more accurate, we would've been prepared and would've chosen another listing.

This is such a special house to visit and relaxed. Enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and sitting in the backyard at night. Also, Great restaurants in the neighborhood.

The location of the place is just amazing, close by many interesting places or to public transportation. It’s a quiet neighbourhood and we felt well and safe. Grain was very helpful and communicative and we are very thankful for her flexibility and response to our requests, especially given the last minute request we made to stay at her place. Her house is a very welcoming place.
