Craggy Nook is a set of luxury beachfront guest apartments in Hastings, Christ Church. Located right across the street from the Courtyard Marriott Hotel and Buzo Osteria Italiana restaurant. Craggy Nook is in a prime beachfront location, easily accessible and in close proximity to many shops, supermarkets and the best fine dining restaurants the South Coast has to offer. **BARBADOS GOV'T QUARANTINE APPROVED** As you walk into Craggy Nook you are greeted by amazing views of the ocean and the clean modern lines of the building. The beach in front of Craggy Nook is a gorgeous stretch of white coral sand and pristine waters where turtles can be seen rummaging in the reef before they come to nest on the beach at night. To the left of the beach lies the well-known Hastings boardwalk, a popular spot where locals and tourists come to enjoy a peaceful walk or a morning run. In the opposite direction is the popular surf spot of "Brandons" and the Hilton Barbados hotel. Craggy Nook is divided into three separate units: The ground floor unit, also known as the “Hawksbill” unit (after the endangered species of sea turtle that comes to nest on many beaches along the island) which offers 3 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms (one en-suite), open plan living and dining room, kitchen and patio. The middle unit “Green Monkey” (named after the infamous Barbados green monkey which can be seen at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve in St. Peter or on any mango tree around the island) offers 3 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms (one en-suite), open plan living and dining room, kitchen and patio. The penthouse unit, affectionately known as the “Flying Fish” (one of the national symbols of Barbados) offers 2 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms (one en-suite), open plan living and dining room, kitchen and patio. The Flying Fish unit: This penthouse unit, known as the “Flying Fish” boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the south coast beach, perfect for those who just want to get away from it all or just love to watch the sun rise and set. Couples or families should enjoy the spacious open plan layout. The Flying Fish unit includes: Master bedroom – with ensuite bathroom, built in cupboards and private balcony Bedroom 2 Bathroom 2 - with shower Bathroom 3 - powder room Open plan living and dining area Kitchen Patio Each unit at Craggy Nook features an open plan living and dining area, the kitchens are fitted with stainless steel Bosch appliances, cutlery, utensils and a Smeg dishwasher. We absolutely loved staying at the Flying Fish! We’re so looking forward to returning! Great location and easily walkable to great restaurants! Hosts were fantastic and everyone was helpful while we were there.

Great location right on the beach and not far from the Hastings boardwalk where there are beach bars like Baby Doll (happy hours and amazing pizza!), Blue Pineapple, Tapas, Salt etc. The top floor apt (Flying Fish) is a lovely space and we enjoyed our stay. Tammy managed to get us boogie boards too that were put to good use. The beach right outside is pretty good for swimming and not too stoney. Further east are better beaches like Rockley, Dover and Worthing if you don’t mind a bit of a walk. Artsplash Cafe is not too far which is a great little cafe for fresh juices, coffees, smoothie bowls, salads etc. If you like to surf then ‘Brandons’ surf spot is a short walk along the beach to the west just before the Hilton. To the north of the Hilton on the peninsula is Pebbles Beach and it is here that the racehorses are taken into the sea in the early morning. The south coast is great, it has a lot of life that the resorts on the west do not have and Craggy Nook is one of the nicest properties on that coastline in our opinion.
Craggy nook is located steps away from The Richard Haynes Boardwalk and is easily accessible and walking distance from many shops, restaurants and bars. You don't have to venture much further than the front door just to have a good time - we are right across the street from Barbados' newest fine dining italian restaurant, Buzo Osteria Italiana, and the stunning Hastings beach is literally right outside. A short 15 minute drive takes you to some of the best nightlife spots on the island. 24 hr gas stations and convenience stores are also less than 5 minutes away.
We are directly on the bus route leading up to Bridgetown or heading in the opposite direction towards Oistins. Either way, public transportation is easily within reach. Car rentals are available for hire through one of our trusted rental company partners. Taxi services are easily available all along the south coast. Please let us know if you need us to arrange for airport pick up or drop off with our trusted taxi driver at your cost (at time of booking preferably). However, since we are so close to the action you may find that walking is a fun and convenient way to get around and the best way to take in the sights and sounds. Everything is within your reach! Not wheelchair accessible.
