Lovely location. Great bus connectivity.Frequent and late night. Spyglass Inn has lovely view and good food.

We have recently returned from a family holiday in the Isle of Wight at Englefield. All three generations had a great time. The bungalow has fabulous views and the three bedrooms were all very comfortable. We also enjoyed the private garden. The owners had been very generous with items left for our use and had even left a home baked sponge cake which was very welcome upon our arrival. Bus stop right outside was useful as distance to Ventnor was a bit too far to walk

Great place to stay. The views are fabulous and almost direct access to the down at the back was great too. Note that the key safe is on the garden wall not the house. The house is as advertised with a slightly odd layout and full of quirky bits and bobs. Everything you need is supplied. Loads of books, board games and dvds so no worries if it rains. Bus stop right outside for Ventnor/Shanklin and rest of island. Steep approach so you'll need to be reasonably mobile. Ceilings upstairs are quite low. Parking might be tight if you drive a big car. Not complaints just information.

We had a wonderful time at Englefield, the place is so homely and clean, the views are amazing and the check in arrangements were simple. We hope to come back some time and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing break.
