The complex is ideally situated, in fact it is within 2 minutes’ walk of one of the most beautiful public beaches in the area. The beach is equipped with toilets, showers, a basketball and a beach volleyball court, a skate park and a playground for kids. Moreover, at just few steps away from Golfo Gabella there is an Auditorium, where you can enjoy or organize different cultural events. This Auditorium can host meetings, exhibitions, shows, theatrical representations, concerts and social gatherings. Moreover at 500 meters from the residence there is the centre of the village with a small supermarket, bars and restaurants.

Maccagno is a small village where everything is within walking distance.
In the village you can find all the main services:
-Mirabile Pharmacy: 800 meters from the Residence, 10 minutes by foot.
-Post office: 800 meters from Golfo Gabella, 10 minutes by foot, located in front of the pharmacy. Here you can find the only ATM available in Maccagno.
-Unes supermarket: is the only supermarket available in Maccagno, at just 10 minutes walking from Golfo Gabella. It is not very big but you can find all the basic products.
Opening hours: 08:30 am -12:30 pm; 3:00 pm - 07:00 pm, Monday - Saturday (Wednesday and Saturday open all day; Sunday open from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm)
In Luino (10 minutes by car) you can find more and bigger supermarkets (Coop, Lidl, Carrefour, Eurospin, ...)
-Railway station: the station is located at 1 minute by foot from the supermarket. You can find trains every 2 hours. Check the timetables on Tilo or Trenord websites.
-Bus stop: in the square, behind the supermarket and near to the train station, there is a bus stop. Check the timetables on the  Autolinee varesiene website.
-Pier: to reach the pier you can walk along the lakefront. The landing stage is about 30 minutes by foot from Golfo Gabella. From Maccagno (in Spring and  Summer) you can take a boat to Luino, Cannero, Cannobio, the Borromean Islands, ... Check the timetables on the Navigazione Lago Maggiore website.
-Newsstand: in front of the supermarket there is a newsstand where, in addition to newspapers and magazines, you can find collectibles objects. Do not hesitate to ask the newsagent and you will find special surprises.
-Auditorium: at just few steps away from Golfo Gabella there is an Auditorium, where you can enjoy or organize different cultural events. This Auditorium can host meetings, exhibitions, shows, theatrical representations, concerts and social gatherings.
-Museum: the Civico Museo Parisi-Valle is located on the Giona river, it's about 5 minutes' walk from Golfo Gabella Residence. Don't miss its wonderful exhibitions.
-Parco Giona: only 3 minutes away (on foot) from Golfo Gabella, you can find one of the biggest beaches on Lake Maggiore. This pebble and grass beach is equipped with toilets, showers, a basketball and a volleyball court, a skate park and a playground for children. There is also a kiosk with bar service, pizzeria and restaurant that organizes some music events from time to time.
Bask in the warm sun, cool off in the clear refreshing waters of the lake and experience deep relaxation.
-Old village of Maccagno Inferiore and Madonna della Punta Sanctuary: going for a stroll in the small and ancient alleys of the historic center of Maccagno Inferiore is certainly an interesting experience. Don't forget to visit the Madonna della Punta Sanctuary, located on a rocky mass overlooking the lake Maggiore, and to enjoy the stunning panomara.
-Lakefront: not only a pleasant walk by the lake but also an educational itinerary called "Water birds".
-"Il Cinzanino" climbing wall and little bar: climb the rock overlooking the lake and then take a break to enjoy a delicious "rock sausage” and an aperitif with a view. Highly recommended for those looking for a breathtaking view. 
-Bars / pastry shop / tobacconists: in the village you can also find bars, tobacconists and a pastry shop. In Italy the perfect way to start the day is with a cappuccino and a croissant while a cheerful aperitif is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the day.
-Restaurants: in Maccagno there are several restaurants (most are closed in wintertime) where you can enjoy delicious regional and international dishes.
