The gorgeous open plan living & dining area features a Smart TV, and the property has been recently updated with air-conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi. Enjoy the huge entertainment area, with the sound of rolling waves. Out here you’ll find a huge balcony furnished with high bar table and day bed to kick back with a good book, a BBQ – an Aussie essential, and a private yard to sprawl out with a picnic in the sun – Bliss! Great location right next the beach.
Plusses - proximity to a beautiful beach and a lovely back garden. Minuses - We actually expected to enjoy the house and for it to be comfortable and welcoming. It wasn’t. Some of our complaints: 1. TV remote doesn’t work (and no obvious way to replace batteries) so no TV. 2. Kitchen poorly equipped for cooking. 3. Uncomfortable main bed, poor bedding – only doonas, no blankets, no throws, no way to adjust the temperature on any of the beds. It’s doonas or nothing. 4. An assortment of old towels. 5. Iron doesn’t work. 6. No internet, which was mentioned in the ad, but no mobile reception, which wasn’t. If you’re too stingy to provide wifi you should at least warn people you won’t be able to use your phone either. And the kicker - the ‘welcome kit’ – well, you get a roll of toilet paper and a few sachets of salt and pepper and the like and 200ml of UHT milk, unlike most other Airbnbs where you’ll usually have some basics supplied and a homey and welcoming feel. We couldn’t wait to leave the place it felt so downright unwelcoming, right down to the long list of do’s and don’ts (never a good sign) including some in RED CAPITALS in the email from the agent warning us about everything NOT TO DO. Felt overcharged. Clear case of overpromise/underdeliver.

Although One Mile Beach is a quieter side of town, it offers stunning natural attractions galore and one of the friendliest seaside golf courses on the north coast.
At the northern end you’ll find Bennett's Head Lookout, offering 360 degree views from The Tanks, right down to Cape Hawke and One Mile Beach. It also boasts the giant sandhill, a popular attraction for sand sliding and boarding. Plus there's a stretch of white sand where dolphins can often be seen frolicking in the waves, and if you’re there at the right time, you might spot whales migrating.
South of One Mile Beach you’ll find Burgess Beach – a secluded, sheltered beach hidden by vegetation and accessed by a steep path. Although it doesn't have the facilities of some of the larger beaches it’s a great spot for families, as it offers rock pools and small rock cave formations to explore.
One Mile Beach is a perfect choice for guests looking to enjoy the simple joys of nature, and the convenience of proximity to the CBD.
