In the breakfast room , there is a fridge, microwave and crockery for your use at anytime.
We had a lovely time staying at Susannah and Keith's b&b on their farm. There was a perfect area for parking our motorbikes on and although the entrance has a gradient to it, we didn't find this a problem getting in and out. The breakfast was lovely and thank you for letting us try the flavoured milk - delicious! 😋
Susannah is great host, and really friendly and kind! Really appreciated they provide these warm place. Thank you.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! Spotless, comfy accommodation. Brilliant cooked breakfasts. Happy, informative hosts. The children enjoyed seeing a working farm, meeting the cows and playing with the friendly dogs.
Huge thanks to Susannah and her team for the warm welcome and a beautiful experience at their lovely family farm. Our stay was just one night, it was very cosy, clean, comfortable, peaceful, the nature is beautiful, we had a good night's sleep, the birds chirping in the morning was an added bonus. We had a tour of the farm, it was so interesting and the cows and calves, and other animals so cute and fascinating. It's a lot of work to run a farm and a high quality bed and breakfast (the breakfast was lovely!) so we really respect the hosts for all the effort they put in, and highly recommend this lovely place where you can just switch off and forget all about work and busy life. Looking forward to coming back!
We stayed at Susannah’s place yesterday and chose it based on the proximity to the ferry terminal in Dover. We really liked the idea of being on a farm and the ambiance of the country to relax before our travels. There were two bunk bed style beds and one single bed. The bathroom had a shower and was spacious. There was WiFi, coffee, kettle, biscuits, and fresh milk from their own cows which was fun touch. We are traveling with pets and Susannah was very considerate and put out food bowls and bedding. We were disappointed we had to leave so early because the breakfast sounded incredible. If/when we find ourselves traveling back the same way, we will make it a point to stay here again and enjoy the property.
The farmyard B&B is a peaceful area of beauty, surrounded by chalk down land and an arboretum . The actual farmyard is nearby so you might hear the odd ‘moo’ from our rare breed Albion cattle.
A crossroads of bridleways is right outside your door yet varied beaches and many other attractions are just a short drive away.
Nearest railway station is Kearsney, less than 1 mile away. Bus stops are also near the station. Dover port is 4 miles away. A20 (which turns into M20) is approx. 4 miles away.
There is generous parking space at the property.
自我介绍
My husband Keith and I run this beautiful chalk land farm in the Alkham Valley. We rear cattle including the critically rare breed of Albion cattle ( only 240 females in the world) They are a native breed who can graze on the varied species of flora on our chalk downland and they fit in with our sustainable system of farming. We have also worked hard to convert the redundant old farmyard into a B&B enterprise because farm diversification was necessary and we both like meeting people. We were nearly ready when everything shut down due to Covid, so we had to wait . Now we are in the swing of it and have found that most guests love to meet the animals which fits in well as we always have to do the chores anyway. We have gained too by simply meeting some wonderful guests who add great variation to our lives.
