We took an number of our family to Katy and Dave's beautiful property to celebrate out wedding (didn't hold the wedding there). Their house and net door barrel pods were perfect and we had a great time. Location is secluded and stunning and close by to plenty of great lakes which was perfect for the big and little kids alike.

Katy and Dave are fantastic. Their property is to die for. Majestic would be the word I’d use to describe the feeling and stay. We had a small wedding and everyone was so impressed with the venue and accommodations. I would suggest to anyone to take a look at their place, you’ll be sold. 😊

If you're looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by the scent, sound, smell and sense of nature, Katy and Dave have got the perfect space for that. The log house was built by Dave and a couple of friends back in '94, trust me you've got to see the craftsmanship on this log house - it's immaculate! Waking up to the view of the lake was very peaceful. We enjoyed the sauna as well as the outdoor cold tub (hot tub wasn't working), practiced some Wim Hoff breathing exercises whilst in the cold ice bath... I definitely recommend. We also used the outdoor BBQ (there's two, one by the drive way and one by the outdoor kitchen). I would recommend you use the BBQ by the drive way as it is probably less used compared to the other. The master bedroom is lovely, but if you like firmer beds then I'd sleep outside in the sleeping pods. There is a fire ban right now so we only got to appreciate fire through the gas fire pit table, still totally awesome though. Upstairs shower only had cold water while downstairs shower had both warm and cold water. The kitchen was well stocked, even with a few seasonings. I would still recommend bringing your own if you plan on cooking. Katy and Dave live on the property in a different house above the log home if you need any help or questions they are more than happy to help! Also, the dogs come and visit if you're lucky they are the best companies! There's IGA and local markets 15 minutes down the road, and in Sechelt for a wider selection less tha an 1hr drive. If you're staying for a few days I'd definitely go to Sechelt and see Bruce for a night time excursion experience to see the glow in the dark bioluminescence algae and other sea creatures! A MUST SEE once in a lifetime. Also if you're taking the ferry but don't want to eat White Spot you SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY check out this amazing fish and chips place called "SHARKEYS FISH LOCKER" down by Roberts Creek. The best fish and chips I've ever had in the entirety of life itself. Dont chince out on the tartar sauce either. Also, check out the beaches of course! And a reminder to ALWAYS pick up your trash wherever you go. Thanks again for our memorable family experience to cherish our anniversary... Peace, blessings & gratitude!

The property is nice and in a good location. Accommodations are “rustic” as one room has no door and the bathroom situation inside is limited. The outdoor sleeping accommodations are actually nicer than they appear in pictures. The views are beautiful! Unfortunately the owners live on the property (you can see their house) and they use the same driveway. The owners entered the property 3 times unannounced (once post check-in, once in the morning, and once late at night). It’s not a private experience at all, and that was disappointing. We felt they were pretty invasive. We hired a local gym to do a group workout and the owner stood around watching while we did a group workout and asked questions. We paid almost $8000 to rent the private house for a long weekend and felt that it was very over priced.
