Chestnut Ridge Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath private cabin just 5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock and 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is rustic (the cabin walls are 100 years old) with modern touches and newly renovated bathrooms. It features 2 porches, a fire pit area and a great view. The back porch is a great place to enjoy the mountain air and watch the deer that frequent the yard. The fire pit has 6 comfortable Adirondack chairs for your enjoyment. Beds: 1 K upstairs in LARGE master, 1 Q downstairs, 2 bunks (1 with a trundle) that sleep 5 total downstairs. There is a loft with a game table and loveseat. We have good supply of games and books for kids. We clean all the bedding (sheets, duvet covers and quilts) after each guest. The high touch areas are sanitized as well. We are proud to offer these extra steps of cleanliness to protect our guests. The cabin also has a whole house water filtration system. Sunday check-ins are not available on this site but if this is necessary for your booking please contact us. The earliest we can accommodate a Sunday check-in is 5pm. Reservations longer than 2 weeks will have a higher cleaning fee, and be dependent on how long the stay is. On your check-in day you can use the smart key code to check-in by 4:00 pm or anytime afterwards that is convenient to you. You must “Check-in” on the AirBnB website or App to get your access code. It’s best to do that before arriving at the cabin, as the cell service is poor. We provide: -towels -bed linens -pillow protectors on every pillow -1 hair dryer -white noise machines in every bedroom -1 regular Coffee maker (with filter basket and no grinder) and 1 single cup Keurig (k cups not provided) -1 toilet paper roll in each bathroom -1 paper towel roll -dish soap and a new dish sponge and scrub brush -kitchen towels -a good collection of cooking supplies -high chair (folded in bunk room closet) -plastic dinnerware for children -outdoor grill Please reach out if you plan to cook something with special requirements and would like to know if we have it There are 4 Roku TV’s. Feel free to sign in and/or add any apps you use. Please use the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit responsibly. Make sure the damper on the indoor fireplace is open when using and closed when not using. Please do not leave food or trash by the fire pit. We have a lot of wildlife to be considerate of. There is a small trash can on the left side of the front porch for bagged trash only. The housekeeper will remove the trash that fits in this trash can after your stay. If you have more trash than will fit in the outdoor trash can please take it to the Waste center very close by: 5600 Hwy 221 S, Blowing Rock, NC 28605. They are open 6:30am-6pm and closed Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. If you would like to recycle (which we encourage) please use this location for doing that on your own. It is very close! The back porch string lights plug in by the picnic table. Please unplug them when not using. Our house rules: -Leave the cabin in the condition it was in when you arrived. The cleaning fee covers the linens, basic cleaning and sanitization of common areas. If items are damaged or extra cleaning is needed beyond the norm, a fee will be charged. -Please do not leave young children unattended in the loft area -No smoking of anything inside or on our wood porches. If outside smoking occurs please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly in a trash bag. Cigarette butts left on the property will result in an extra cleaning fee, as will the home smelling of smoke. -Please try to keep wet towels hung up (not on hardwood floors or bed linens). -Please keep food off bed linens and in appropriate food eating spaces, no food upstairs if possible. -Please do not flush feminine products or flushable wipes. These will clog the system. - No discharging firearms. - If smoke is detected inside the house, guest is subject to a $200 cleaning fee. - If evidence of pets are present, guest is subject to a $200 cleaning fee. Check out is 10am. Check outs after this time will incur a additional charge of 1/2 the nightly rate of that day. If a later check out is agreed upon you will not be assessed the fee as long as the agreed upon time is honored.
