If you have a problem with mold, we don’t recommend Bamboleo. Upon entering the room we were hit with a strong smell and within minutes it was causing an immune reaction and sore throat. The moldy odor is not present on the bed but is coming from the walls and there was visible water damage which had appeared to have been painted over. The kind young man attending the property offered us another room but we declined as we had found new last-minute accommodations. Five minutes in the room had been too much. The pictures are also outdated, not reflecting the current conditions of the room or common space which appear neglected.

Overpriced for what you get. No food. No glasses to drink beverages out of. No pool. You can get a room for $80 that has all of this. Door hard to open. Beds hard. Room was clean. Ian was a nice kid. Enjoyed talking to him about his soccer days. He was helpful in getting us back to the airport and he made us coffee in the morning and brought us water. Erin was not a good communicator.

Our stay was fine. We were able to walk to a neighborhood restaurant for an enjoyable evening. This accommodation was a hotel room, and while rooms are similar, there may be differences from the images published. Our host was responsive and helped us get to the airport in the morning. The reason we stayed here was the location so close to the airport. It's a convenient stop on your way into or out of Belize.
