We loved staying here! Jo and Al are hosts par excellence! We stayed for 6 weeks with them and their two lovely dogs, Finn and George. During this time, we worked remotely and explored this beautiful corner of West Sussex. The Stables has a spacious, beachy vibe, and provided ample space for the two of us and our 3 whippets (who were delighted to enjoy a 32-acre “garden”!). Jo and Al even prepared a brilliant home office for us in the second bedroom. Thank you, Jo and Al for such a memorable and enjoyable stay with you.

Had such a fab time at The Stables, the place looks exactly like the listing, the surroundings were so picturesque and it had absolutely everything we needed. Just a 10minute drive to the beach, so many lovely pubs close by too. Bedrooms were really spacious and comfy. I’m sure we’ll be back again! Thanks so much Al & Jo :)

We had a lovely three night stay at The Stables in mid-September. 35 acres that we were welcomed to explore, and conveniently located for the South Downs, Chichester Harbour, and West Sussex beaches. Alasdair and Jo were really friendly and welcoming, telling us a bit about the farm and the wildlife that might be seen (would recommend getting up v early or being v quiet late to hear / see activity). Highly recommend going to Fishbourne Roman Palace - absolutely fascinating place… and as often happens to us, totally a coincidence that afterwards I saw the “How often do you think of the Romans?” question go viral! (Answer : for me quite a lot at the mo!). A lovely abode, spacious and clean, comfortable beds and all cooking implements you need, plus a full sized fridge freezer… and of course easy access (recommend a car really) to many restaurants, cafes, etc - found some gems, and sunset on West Wittering beach was fab. Thanks Alasdair and Jo for a lovely break!

We all had a great time staying at Jo and Al’s place. A warm welcome , great accommodation and vast grounds with lovely scenery Would have happily stayed in all day but there were so many good recommendations and things to do during our short break (plus we had sunny weather) that we made sure we got out and about If I have the opportunity I would for sure stay at the Stables again and would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely, helpful host. Nothing was too much trouble. Property is in a great location (near loads of lovely resturant, pubs and West Wittering beach) and looks exactly as it does in the pictures. Would recommend a stay here.
