Beautiful home with a separate apartment upstairs. Somehow we missed that fact when we booked. Our neighbors were very nice but it could be a problem with less considerate ones. They had a baby with an ear infection and we could hear him crying often. Also, there was major construction right next door. The host informed us about this prior to our visit, but the experience was much more unpleasant than I had imagined. To be fair, when I told the host they were working well into the evening, they handled it right away and the noise was mostly confined to 8-5 M-F. However, the large equipment ran constantly and made being outside quite unpleasant. On the plus side, the house was gorgeous, very clean and beyond well equipped. There is direct access to the reef from the patio. The view was amazing and the host did all they could to mitigate the construction annoyance. I would wait until the construction is complete to book another stay.

When we booked our stay at this property, we did it based solely on the photos, there weren't any reviews available for it. This was far and away one of the best AirBnB experiences we've ever had. As amazing as the images are, they do not do the property justice. It's absolutely gorgeous in every way. I arrived at the property before the rest of the guests as I had purchased the last seat on a Divi Divi shuttle from Curacao. I was greeted by Martin who was friendly and awesome. He showed me through the property, which switches did what, and various other good things to know. This is far and away the best-stocked AirBnB my wife and I have ever stayed in. You will have absolutely everything you need. Whether it's for cooking, entertainment, cleaning up, or doing laundry, it's ALL there for you. The cooler was a lifesaver for going to the beach. There's a selection of books for you. They even have bug spray, and you're going to need it. This isn't specific to the property, but Bonaire as a whole. Bring bug spray! The air conditioners are limited to the two bedrooms, but opening up the back wall doors and the slats on all the windows creates plenty of air movement to keep you comfortable and we quickly adjusted to the temperature distance. We spent a lot of time swimming and snorkeling off the back deck. There's also great snorkeling at Te Amo beach just minutes up the road. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. It's perfectly located, far enough away from town to feel secluded but near everything, you would want to get to. The last thing, Martin explained there's a very friendly little cat that likes to visit. He belongs to one of the neighbors. He stopped by the back patio every night, an adorable little black cat who's super friendly. We didn't know his name but called him Edward. If you see him, tell him Alan, Robin, Mike, and Carol say hi. I can't recommend it any more highly, just book it already!

Beautiful oceanfront villa. Perfect for divers. reef behind the villa is beautiful! Right next door to a dive resort where you can swap empty tanks for full ones (Nitrox too). Our 5th time to Bonaire, Casa Iguana is by far the best place we've stayed at.
