This holiday house is situated on a small farm (with some animals) run by 't Veldzicht (*), in the green surroundings of Beernem (20/30min car drive away from Bruges/Ghent and direct access to hiking-bike trails). It's a cosy house (pellet stove) with a private terrace and small pond (with cover). On site: bbq, firepit, veggie garden/green house, pizza oven, petanque terrain, a swing... (*) 't Veldzicht offers day activities for people with dissabilities Contact for reservations: Joyce Desmet The house has an open space concept. Sitting-and dining area, the kitchen and bedroom (with 2 modern single beds) seamlessly connect to one another. Flexibility and connection where key in the design. The sleeping area can be closed off with heavy curtains and one can arrange the area according to personal taste as the beds are on wheels :-). The sitting area offers a 2 persons sofa bed as well. At the centre of the house a pellet stove and colourful armchair draw the attention. All of this giving that extra cosy touch to the space. All windows offer a 'green' view :-). The whole house (including bathroom) is wheelchair accessible. The small farm also offers those extra's that make you really enjoy your holiday in nature.

We spent an absolutely beautiful week in 't Veldzicht. The holiday house offers all the necessities one may need and is super cozy and is only outperformed by the serene atmosphere of the farm as a whole. The various farm animals are all lovely and very comfortable with humans, a special shoutout is owed to Bamboo and Roxy, the two cats that you will have no choice but fall in love with in an instant. The animals' warm attitude towards humans is a testament to how well the people who work at the farm treat them, and guests receive just as much - if not more! - of a happy welcome. From the overseeing staff to the people with handicaps, everyone is glad to have you experience the beautiful piece of nature that they work to keep up. Trips to nearby cities such as Brussels, Bruges and Gent are worth it, as well! We loved every second of it, and are already evaluating our options to plan another trip to 't Veldzicht. Wir haben uns rundum Wohlgefühlt! Ein tolles kleines Häuschen, ruhig gelegen. Die Gegend ist sehr gehoben und gepflegt. Die Katzen haben wir besonders schnell ins Herz geschlossen. Wer Lust auf Natur hat, Ruhe und Komfort, ist hier genau richtig! Ein Katzensprung entfernt von Brügge (20 Autominuten). Sollten wir irgendwann wieder in der Nähe sein, würden wir die Location sehr gerne wieder wählen!
We had a wonderful time in this cosy little place. The children loved being surrounded by all the animals, especially Roxy, Bamboo and Pony. It's also a great place to stay if you want to visit Bruges, which is only a 15 minute drive away. Unfortunately we had bad weather most of the time, but we still enjoyed sitting by the fire and watching the quiet world outside.
Magnifique logement pour passer un court séjour au calme, et a proximité des belles villes de la Flandre. Superbe rapport qualité prix, avec des hôtes accueillants et sympathiques. 2 chats voudront également rapidement devenir vos meilleurs amis.

Our holiday house " Green fields" is situated on a farm in a rural green area. Quiet and green surroundings with access to hiking-and biking trails. Only a 20/30min drive away from the cities of Bruges or Ghent.
Parking available on site near the entrance. Guest are allowed to drive up to the house to unload the car.
No public transport nearby except for a small public bus service (only upon reservation through the company and this ahead of time!).
