Welcome to #90 at The Chalets at Collins Lake Resort, a lakefront property with stunning views that can accommodate up to six guests. This beautifully decorated vacation rental offers a heated two-car garage with a washer, dryer, and space to hold your wet gear on the ground floor. On the second level, you'll find a cozy modern-style living room with a fireplace, plush furniture, and a TV with cable, Blu-ray, and DVD players. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio, or fire up the grill for a cookout for dinner! Inside, the fully equipped kitchen with bar seating and a dining table provides everything you need to prepare a homecooked meal or enjoy takeout from one of the local eateries. After a long day of exploring, retire to the master bedroom with a four-poster queen-size bed, a TV, and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Alternatively, the guest bedroom offers another queen-size bed, while the kids can have their own space in the den with a twin-size bunk bed and another TV. All units are stocked with enough towels to meet the maximum occupancy and extra blankets. As a guest of Collins Lake Resort, you'll have access to on-site amenities, including a pool, hot tub, and a large amoeba-shaped hot tub nestled in the woods. Please keep in mind this home is heated by gas and has a gas fireplace. There is no air conditioning. The place met or exceeded expectations. The location was perfect and actually worked out better than some of the other cabins I considered closer in town. The exact location of this unit was even better being near a larger parking and forest area they gave more room for the kids to play in the snow. The washer/dryer was a god send. Overall we were super happy with the place and would definitely recommend.
Yeah watch out for those stairs oh my gosh there's so many of them the garage is awesome and fit my truck incredible views incredible peace and quiet and a great dog community never seen so many dogs I loved it
The place was amazing and perfect. There was a weird gas smell but we called the front desk and they came right away to fix it

I'm hesitant to provide this review because I really don't like to provide negative feedback, however I feel as though during Covid, others should be aware of our experience. While we stayed at this listing we encountered a few things: -oven was so dirty, it set off fire alarm when we went to pre-heat it -coffee pot was broken and leaked all over the counter -the comforters in the bedrooms were so disgusting and we had to wash them ourselves just to feel like it was okay to sleep with them -old dirty sponges were left for us in the kitchen -used sample shampoo and conditioner bottles were left in the shower -even though it was listed as an amenity in the listing, we had to request for a pack n play out of the office -safety gates were listed on the listing but none were provided and the office didn't have any either -cable TV was listed but other than DVD players....there was no cable As far as communication, the front desk was so sweet and kind and quick to respond to my questions. However, their solution for my cleanliness complaints was to have people come into the home again "make sure it's clean." The problem with this is that, we're in the middle of a pandemic and having strangers in the home when we don't really have anywhere else to go to hangout for an extended period of time doesn't make us feel any more comfortable. If I'm being honest, for the price we paid for this listing, we wouldn't book it again. However, I hope they can fix the issues and solve this problem for future guest.

Located in the heart of Government Camp, Collins Lake Resort's entry is right near Mt. Hood Outfitters. Our resort is accessible by one road that connects to Government Camp Loop Road, and is bordered by trees along the Loop, and highway 26 on the south end of the grounds. A trail provides access to viewing wildlife at Collins Lake, with bridges, local flora, and plenty of opportunities to soak up the mountain. Outside of the resort, local restaurants, a small local store, and additional gear shops are close for every type of adventurer. Nearby, Mt. Hood Skibowl's East & West locations are a quick drive away, and Timberline is 15-30 minutes depending on road conditions.
