This is a great place to stay!! It is just far enough out of town to get peace and quiet but not too far. Outside, the yard is small but really nice, big deck and covered patio, there is an observatory behind the house (which my daughter loved), the view from there is amazing! Inside, the house is beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed to have a great time!! We did have some plumbing problems but Chris was on it and remedied the situation. Chris (the host) was downstairs in his own apartment, so if we needed anything he was right there. To be honest, I was a little leary about that (before arrival) only because I have a daughter. but after meeting him, all that went out the window. He is a great person, nice, and very easy to talk to. We did need his help several times and he never let us down. I can honestly say I think we made a new friend. We will be staying in touch long after our stay. I would definitely recommend this place! Thank you again Chris for everything! 5 star!

Chris was very responsive and an excellent resource for information on the surrounding area. Casa Spellatchi was above my expectations, being clean, comfortable and central to local attractions. I highly recommend Casa Spellatchi to anyone looking to stay in the San Ramon area!

The master bedroom tub drain leaked water which penetrated through the wall of the second bedroom which created a foul smell. We encountered lots of Cobb webs throughout the house ceilings. Kitchen sink drain was clogged. Plumber came and left. Cleared drain but left it loose which leaked water on the kitchen floor. I ended up securing so we can wash dishes and cook. Lastly I also encountered a itchy master bedroom with sheets that did not have a good smell. Ended up washing but itchy bed never went away. Decided to check out a day earlier.
