Extremely disappointed by this stay . It was in fact , horrendous . Getting into it was hard enough with door locks that were difficult to open but that was just the start. It was dirty generally ,with dirty towels in bathroom , dirty dishes in the kitchen , no sink in bathroom to wash hands and no soap for cleaning hands in kitchen . Bunks x1 and an old mattress under bed not 3 single beds as advertised and no mattress protectors. There was junk and toys on the top mattress and no working lights in both this bedroom and the shower. As if 3 taxidermied heads of shot animals hanging in the other bedroom wasn't bad enough, one had a taxidermy protected kea on its head . The only positive was that there was no shortage of places to hang things given the number of antlers within easy reach. The mouse trap in the kitchen was empty but given the scrabbling in the walls in the early hours I suspect they have just got cunning. Given the distance from nearest town we did not expect there to be milk but would have thought it reasonable that some milk powder would be provided. The photos were not even close to what the reality of this place was and as it was we had no other option other than staying as it was dark and we got there after already biking for 12 hours . We would have otherwise have got back on our bikes and gone to Lawrence!

No wifi, no TV, no cellphone service. It was perfect! Was able to disconnect from the rest of the world for a weekend, would highly recommend
