洛杉矶 · 整套民居 · 3室4床2.5卫 · 可住6人 · Amazing City Views in a Modern Rock ‘n Roll House
**Offered for monthly stays at 50% off list price!** Nestled in the hills of Glassell Park with incredible city views, this house provides a true LA experience you won't want to miss. With original art work and furniture created/built by the owner, plus amenities like a steam shower, music room, gym (including Peloton and punching bag), and a wrap around balcony (with a hammock) that look over all of Northeast LA, you can't help but feel immersed in the pure magic that is Los Angeles. The space is a 3 story story house up on a hillside overlooking North East LA. You park in the driveway and enter on the 2nd floor, where there's The Music Room bedroom with piano and guitar, as well as a twin size day bed with trundle (both have excellent foam memory mattresses). There's also a half bathroom and the entrance to the garage, where the gym (with Peloton bike, punching bag, pullup bar, floor mat, free weights, etc) and laundry are. Going downstairs you'll find The Guest Bedroom and bathroom (complete with it's own steam shower) and the Master Bedroom/Bathroom with walk in closet and it's own private balcony. Going to the top floor you'll pass a photo series about a famous LA street personality called Street Jesus. Be sure to spend some time looking at these as they really show the beautiful grit that encapsulates Los Angeles, along with one of its many colorful characters. On the top floor you'll find an open floor concept with dining room, living room, kitchen and wrap around balcony. There's huge windows in every direction looking out over city and canyon views, as well as beautiful trees with families of hawks and owls living in them. Be sure to spend some time in the hammock watching the sunset, or have a glass of wine in the lounge chairs...all on the wrap around balcony. Please note that this balcony is very high so be careful when maneuvering. Due to extreme fire danger there is no smoking anywhere on the property. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the requirements to make gourmet meals, so if relaxing with great food in your own private oasis is what you're looking for then this is the spot! Nearly all of the art and much of the furniture was made by the owner and pulls from the rock-n-roll vibe that permeates NorthEast LA. Please take your time to look around and feel free to message the owner with any questions or comments about the art or furniture! The house is a "Smart Home" with Amazon Alexa. Just say "Alexa" and then ask a question about anything in the house or LA (or anything else!) and she will answer you. You can request any song as well and if you say "Speakers Everywhere" it will play in every room of the house! The owner loves Los Angeles and his house and hopes you can feel the authentic vibes that make LA such a special place.
This spot was a perfect family basecamp for attending an Oxy graduation! We loved the curated hang out spots on the deck for chilling and reading in between group gathering in the open kitchen / living room area. Excellent natural light throughout (nice job with the mirrors!), and an A+ fun vibe for a celebratory time. Bryce was super easy to communicate with, all correspondence timely and clear. If you're coming from a relatively flat place where walking and public transportation is easily accessed and your go-to (us=NYC, Boston) you'll be happy to have a car for groceries, getting to local hikes, etc. Uber was also quick and easy to arrange (i.e. for a final trip for one of us to the airport).
The treehouse lounge was absolutely perfect for our stay. We booked for a little over a month and Bryce was great at making sure we had everything we needed the entire time, including toiletry refills, having a cleaning service come by half way through the month, and consistent water refills for the cooler. The rooms are more than sufficient with beautiful lighting all throughout the house and the master bath is such a gem for some relaxing self care if you’re doing a staycation, highly recommend. There’s also laundry and a driveway to park in which is great. Location is also amazing, Glassel Park is a fun spot with Highland Park’s york st just around the corner. Definitely stay here for a smooth, cozy, and fun home in LA!
This is a beautiful hillside house in Glassell Park, a pretty residential area very close to downtown LA and not far from restaurants, parks and other attractions. Full of entertaining music and LA-related artwork, it is comfortable well-supplied place for a family to spend an LA visit. Bryce was an extremely attentive host and responded quickly to our requests and questions. We have stayed in dozens of AirBNBs around the country and internationally, and this is one of the best ones we have stayed in.
We were lucky enough to spend two nights at Bryce's lovely home in the hills. The house is well-appointed and feels like a cool friend's home -- not a cookie-cutter rental, but a place full of charm and character. The house is roomy with lots of comfortable spaces to hang out. Bryce was a fantastic host -- responsive, friendly, accommodating, and an all-around pleasure. We'd happily stay at his home again on future trips to the area!
Glassell Park is a hidden gem in the mountains of Northeast Los Angeles. Centrally located between all the major freeways--yet completely removed from the hustle and bustle of city life--this neighborhood really is an oasis of calm in the concrete jungle.
Only minutes away from the incredible bars, restaurants, museums, and music venues of Downtown Los Angeles, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Echo Park, Silverlake, Los Feliz, Pasadena and Glendale, there truly is no reason to ever stop exploring your immediate vicinity.
Plus there's amazing hiking trails with panoramic views in Griffith Park and Elysian Park (and at least a dozen other smaller parks) only minutes away, not to mention the majestic wilderness and beauty found in the San Gabriel Mountains (over 10,000 ft high!) just 20 minutes up the 2 Freeway.
If the beach is your thing then you're centrally located to be an hour away from most of the LA or Orange County beaches (Laguna Beach is highly recommended for it's pristine waters and funky town vibe).
For a truly unique LA experience rent a bike over in Frogtown and ride up and down the LA river, which is in the process of a decades-long renovation to bring back a natural waterway into the heart of the city.
Bottom line is that this neighborhood has the perfect mix of oasis-like tranquility set into the middle of an incredible diverse, creative, and vibrant part of the city.
Check your guidebook for "locals-only" recommendations from the owner and feel free to reach out with any questions or recommendations.
Enjoy!
Plenty of street parking plus a space in the driveway. You will either need to use rideshare transit or use a car to get around, although the Gold Line Metro is not far away and provides transportation links throughout the city.
