Takako-San is all you wish for in a homestay host! Attentive, extremely helpful and hospitable! I am amazed how she can keep such a big house so clean and still find time to communicate with her guests. Twice, she walked me to the bus stop and waited for the bus with me. I totally enjoyed my time with her! Highly recommended! The only advice - if you are a light sleeper, request for the room upstairs.

Takako San ‘s place is most ideal to stay in kyoto. A very authentic Japanese house living experience. The Japanese room is very comfortable to stay in. Bathroom and toilet is always keep sparking clean. More importantly, the host is always gentle and kind to provide anything guest needed, she is always patient in communication! The night view of the house is incredible. You can see the cityscape in front of the entrance of the house. The garden is well maintained and full of irises! Such a wonderful experience for Kyoto!

We liked the stay. The room is nice and very japanese. The area is very quiet and tranquil, but it’s a little bit far from the center - buses don’t operate after 9pm so you need to walk a lot. Takako and her husband are super nice and i really recommend to stay here.

Kind, gentle, warm-hearted landlady. She prepared hot tea and snacks for us, offered helpful guidance on possible transportation and how to get to a nearby convenience store when we needed to go out, gave me lower and more comfortable pillows... These two days in Kyoto, because of her, the journey became more happy and convenient. Recommend!
