Exquisite airy fully staffed 4-bedroom house on the edge of a river, with flowing terraced lawns, surrounded by forested mountains & farmland. Each bedroom has stunning river views, tasteful decor, & a separate entrance. Absolutely serene, cut off from noise, the property brims with birds, butterflies, fragrant breezes, flowers, fruit trees, the call of animals across the river. There's a lovely open air lounge & swimming pool with fresh river water, no chemicals. Syat House is staffed by a courteous local team, from 8am to 10pm. You can wake to the sound of birds and the river. Expect tea and great meals in the lounge, overlooking the pool, or have it served by the river, but not in the rooms. Being open air, Nature spills into the lounge. Occasionally, that might mean swatting some insects. The rooms will be cleaned once a day. Incredibly warm and gentle, what the staff may lack in formal polish, they make up for in sheer hospitality. All rooms are non-smoking. The weather can range from warm to chilly within the same day, but is usually very comfortable through the year. In keeping with our love of Nature, the rooms are non-ac but the rooms are very cool, airy and comfortable, even in summer. Monsoons are majestic and lush. Winters are sunny, crisp, and exhilarating. There are great walks around. You can trek, picnic, swim in the pool or river, play games, read, hang with friends, or just drink in the peace. The rooms are completely mosquito-proofed, but Nature might still bring you some insect guests! On lucky days, you can see deer and other wild animals crossing the river. Birds, on the other hand, pretty much knock at your windows. And there are nights when you feel you can pluck stars out of the sky.

What a lovely and a cozy place to stay with your family. Tucked amidst the lush green forested mountains in a totally secluded place away from the regular destinations, this should definitely be your go-to place if you are looking for spending a good/quality time with your family. Perks of booking all the 4 rooms at the property allows you to enjoy the whole property all by yourself. There is a beautiful river adjacent to the property, which is easily accessible by a small trek. The staff available at the property is very helpful. They are extremely helpful in ensuring that you have a great time with your family there. For our stay, the said staff also accompanied us to nearby areas/small treks (which are visit-worthy), infact, Aditya had personally organized a small picnic for us next to the river. The cooks available at the property made us delicious meals. The check-in process was absolutely smooth. Since the place is absolutely secluded which is also not easily locatable on google maps, Aditya (himself) along with one of his staff helped us in finding our way to the property and infact had come to a particular point to locate us and further guided us (as were driven until the property) on the correct path. All in all we had a great time at the property! There are only two suggestions which I would like to share, one, is that if the owner gets air-conditioners installed in all the 4 rooms the stay would surely be much more comfortable and enjoyable, I say this because we went there at the start of the monsoon season, however, we unfortunately faced severe humidity and heat on all days during our stay, and because the weather was not supportive, the room temperature was terribly humid! Secondly, the natural water pool, which was a solace for us amidst the bad heatwave, could have been more cleaner than it was. Since we traveled amidst the COVID outbreak, it would have been better if the pool was scrubbed and cleansed properly before our scheduled visit. To conclude, if you are looking for a short getaway with family you must visit this off-beat place for it has amazing views to offer which is coupled with amazing food and dishes which is served at the property.

Syat House is conveniently located just 10 kilometers from the Corbett-Nainital highway, yet it is completely secluded. You turn off the highway and feel you've entered a different world, curtained off by Nature. If you like safaris, Corbett National Park -- one of India's most beautiful tiger reserves -- is just 30 kilometers away. If you want some bustle, on the others side, Naintal is 35 km away. The drives are wonderful, and there are several other lovely little hamlet-towns close by. There's also a small village half a kilometer from the house for any provisions you might need.

Syat House is 280 km from Delhi, good roads. An easy 6 hour drive. It's best to leave early morning. There is also a railway station at Kathgodam, 40 km away. A Shatabdi Express runs every day of the week, which leaves Delhi at 620am and reaches Kathgodam at 1140am. You can hire a cab from there to Syat House, which is an hour's drive. There is also a small airport at Pantnagar, 50 km away. Flights from Delhi to Pantnagar though run only certain days of the week.
