The home was absolutely beautiful. It truly matched the photos online. It was furnished nicely, and was stocked with anything you could need. The hosts even left a welcome basket with some snacks to get us started. It was convenient to the town of Whitefish for restaurants and shopping; and, not to far of a drive to Glacier National Park. The hosts kept in contact with us throughout our stay. The hosts were clear in the description of the gravel road, and once booked, provided very helpful notes and directions to avoid getting lost or stuck behind service gates. The hosts had a binder with helpful information about the house, and wildlife safety. I would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it to others.

Loved staying at Whalebone cottage! The beautiful cottage was exactly as the pictures except it seemed a bit larger than I thought it would be. There is plenty of room for 6 people to relax and enjoy the space! I have stayed at several Airbnbs and this one was the most well stocked. Glad we checked the existing supplies before grocery shopping because it saved us some $. I’m a bit of a linen snob and was happy to find the linens at the cottage were of good quality and very comfortable. The area is very peaceful. We didn’t need to contact the hosts except to see if we could do an early check in and to let them know when we had left the property. The hosts were quick to respond both times and they were able to accommodate us to check in 1 1/2 hours earlier than the normal check in time. My only regret is that we didn’t book our stay for longer! I hope to return again soon!

I can’t say enough about the great experience at Whalebone. The hosts were amazing and the property even more so. If you want to unplug and relax, this is the place. Yet close enough to town to touch base with all Whitefish and the area has to offer. If you are a dog lover (as all in our party are) the clincher is the neighbor’s dog Jango. He comes to visit at regular intervals, goes for a walk with you should you invite him (and you should) and will love up on you just enough so that you will look over your shoulder as you are driving away on your last day hoping for one last sighting. If you are looking for spectacular accommodations and a lovely environment in the Whitefish area area you are not likely to find a better place or hosts (or neighbor’s dog). We loved this place. It’s a beautiful home off the beaten path. Only 15min from everything Whitefish has to offer. The home is well stocked and clean. Would stay again!
