Our historic 1930's tastefully renovated country cottage in the rural community of Churchill, Montana, is just 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Bozeman. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home has a tasteful balance of vintage charm and modern amenities that is centrally located to all the amazing adventures SW Montana has to offer. Snow-capped, mountains and daffodils blooming. Lewis and Clark State Park is especially beautiful this time of year and is 15 minutes away. It is a 1.5 hour drive to Yellowstone National Park which is brimming with animals waking up from hibernation. The cottage has been professionally renovated and designed with modern amenities and tons of vintage charm for you to explore. The cottage is in a quiet rural setting with coffee, restaurants, shopping within a 15-25 minute drive. Enjoy the stars with a glass of wine in the hot tub, or take the vintage bikes out for a spin to watch the sunset. We expect the highest standards for ourselves and those who work on our property. A stay in the quiet country at the Churchill Cottage can do just that! The property is a historic, cozy gem. It has a park like yard with 100+ year old trees, gardens – flowers, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. As our guest you can help yourself to anything from the garden that is in season and ready to harvest. Enjoy sweet raspberries, plump tomatoes, zucchini, fresh parsley, cucumbers, kale, spinach, and much right out of the garden. Be sure to cut a bouquet of fresh flowers for the dinner table too! Also outside your for your enjoyment is a large patio, outdoor seating and dining, hot tub, fire pit, and BBQ. The peaceful outdoor space invites you to take a nap in the hammock, enjoy a book on the garden porch, listen to the birds, or get your hands dirty in the rich soil and pull a few garden weeds! The fat bumble fees and butterflies will keep you company. Inside the cottage front door you will find a large open southern facing sunroom to enjoy the sun with a cup of coffee and a good book from the library. There is a boot/shoe dryer for those days outdoor adventure days and plenty of hooks for your outdoor gear. The décor for the interior is inspired by a mix of Modern Farmhouse and Cottage Core. Many items in the house have been kept from the original 1935 build and many other period appropriate items have been picked up on our travels and daytrips around Montana. The sunroom entry leads to the living/dining area complete with smart tv, full bar set up including Moscow Mule mugs (a favorite in the Rockies), coffee/tea station with Keurig, French Press, coffee maker, hot water maker, and complimentary teas and coffees. We encourage our guests to check out any of the books in our collection which includes those about Montana, nature, non-fiction, and fiction both classic and modern. Many charging stations are provided throughout the house for all your electronics. High Speed internet is provided at 25 mbps. The kitchen is off the living/dining area and is fully equipped with pots, pans, baking dishes, cast iron pots for that winter casserole, serving dishes, storage container, blender, rice cooker, and more. We have stocked the pantry with many basic items including spices, baking ingredients, olive oil, sugar, condiments, etc. The master suite is up a stairway to the second floor. It includes a queen bed and a twin daybed. It also includes several reading areas and a desk area perfect for your laptop. The master has a walk in closet, dresser, and moveable laptop tables near the bed for those who want to check their emails before getting up for the day. The Master also has a smart TV for your enjoyment. Bedroom 2 is on the main floor and includes a queen bed, closet, dresser, device charging. Bedroom 3 in also on the main floor and includes a full bed, closet, dresser, device charging. All rooms have clothes hampers, full length mirrors, fans, suitcase stands, hangers, extra pillows to choose from, and extra bedding. The bathroom on the main floor has a walk in shower, plenty of towels, some toiletry items (in case you forgot something) shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion. Lots of room in the cupboard for storing your items. Cleaning supplies have been placed in each bathroom and under the kitchen sink for your use. The laundry room is downstairs in the basement. A washer, dryer, folding table, drying rack, and soaps and laundry supplies are provided. Also in the laundry room is a small work our area complete with an exercise bike and hand weights. A map showing all the activities within 90 minutes, puts the Churchill cottage right at the center, a great launching off point for your day trips. Ghost towns, hot springs, fishing, river floating, skiing, hiking, Yellowstone, museums, golfing, shopping, antiquing, dining and breweries, gondola rides, waterfalls, biking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, kayaking, white water rafting, adorable main street communities to explore including Bozeman, Livingston, and Ennis.
