A perfect secret retreat behind a fence with private access out on to the coastal path. Access to the chalet is through the Sandhills Holiday park but the chalet and gardens are totally private and the beach can be reached by a private gate straight out on to the footpath. Menara is a hand built chalet, small yet compact with all home comforts and with sea views. 15% off red funnel ferries. A hand built wooden cabin in a lovely plot. Hand painted moroccan tiles and wooden flooring through out. Sea views from the top patio with dining table and also from the living room windows. Two lovely bedrooms with double beds , quirky yet comfortable. Please note the beds are small doubles (new mattresses). BED LINEN IS NOT PROVIDED ALTHOUGH DUVETS, PILLOWS, BATH MATS AND TEA TOWELS ARE. Fully equipped Kitchen with an electric double hob and a microwave. Washing machine (Line in garden for drying) or launderette on site. Fridge freezer. Beautiful and effective woodburner for cosying up. Bathroom with shower (not power shower) . Very quiet even in high summer and six minutes walk to the beach. (steep access). As well as a gate to the Park and parking there is another gate leading straight out onto the coastal footpath to Whitecliff bay and Bembridge and glorious beaches or Culver Down and onwards to Sandown. There are 2 tiny Cafes on the beach, a shop at Sandhills Holiday Park for essentials and newspapers. Barbeque and outside woodburner provided. (bring your own wood snd charcoal) There is a viewing platform accessed by a ladder with stunning views and great for checking the tide. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES as it's not enclosed. Plenty of outdoor space for kayaks and paddle boards. If you're fit you could carry these to the beach. There is no TV but there are lots of books, games and puzzles, double sockets for charging up phones and computers and WIFI available. Sorry but no dogs and no smokers inside the chalet. This is our own holiday home and only available for a few weeks in the summer minimum 2 night bookings. please check the check in page for a Google map of the site as on arrival it can be tricky to find.

Well what to say….Minara is a truely enchanting little place. My two sons 8 &11 had never stayed anywhere like it before and absolutely loved the swing and tree platform as did I with my morning coffee whilst taking in the spectacular sea view! The actual house was just as described and full of quirky individual touches which have been added with love and precision. The double beds are very small doubles so be aware if you are a wriggly sleeper! We enjoyed morning walks in both directions where the scenery takes your breath away! Lucy was so responsive and allowed an early check in. All Info was clear with lots of recommendation and having never been to the Isle of Wight was much needed!!!! We absolutely LOVED our stay! ❤️
The location is wonderful and the house is cozy. My kids had fun in the garden, and we enjoyed BBQ.
This really is a magical hideaway. A perfect home from home feel because of all the little touches, clear instructions and comfortable interior. The view from the garden in the morning as the sun rises is literally something from a painting. The location is fantastic, far enough away from everything to be quiet, private, peaceful and dark (if you like looking up at the night sky) and still just 5 minutes from a beautiful secluded beach and Bembridge just round the corner. The IOW costal path is literally just outside the gate, and offers some amazing walks, but the garden still feels very private and secure. In the sun, it’s magnificent and picturesque, in the rain its cosy and comforting (and it is the UK so expect both in quick succession) Lucy is a great host, who was always quick to respond, helpful and proactive and has created somewhere wonderful to stay. I look forward to going again.

Great place to stay, beautiful views, private garden with swing and tree house. Very cosy home for a week. isle of Wight is lovely too with lots to do. We would definitely recommend this tiny, enchanting house.

Bembridge recently won the 'village of the year' from Countryfile Magazine.
A lovely harbour, beaches, independent shops, a range of restaurants, cafes, bakery and pub all add up to Bembridge being a great location for your holiday. Everywhere on the island is within easy reach but a lot of our holidaymakers spend quite a bit of time in Bembridge, it's that good for both adults and children.
Whitecliff Bay is the most beautiful beach imaginable and round the corner is Forelands beach with it's famous seafood cafe. The coastal walk is stunning (straight out of the gate) and an hour's beautiful walk you can be in Sandown breakfasting at the Wonky Cafe on the beach. Alternatively there is a pub up the hill at Culver a 20 minute walk away on the coastal footpath and an icecream parlour opposite the pub. Sandhills is very quiet with a shop for essentials. The main village of Bembridge is a ten minute drive away.
Possible to get the bus to Sandhills Holiday Park (bus outside) and walk to the beach and a couple of pubs.
If bringing a car there is a private car space or two directly outside the chalet.
