Bretts Rest was lovely and ideal for exploring the island, close to a lot of great locations. Host was very friendly, responsive and offered great suggestions for food and sight seeing. Host lives on the property and cares a lot about the place and attentive to his guests needs. It can get a little hot at night especially in the bedroom but the aircon does help a lot. Overall, fantastic and we highly recommend!

Brett’s Rest AZA was the perfect base to explore the Island and was the highlight of our honeymoon trip in Australia. From windows on all sides of the cabin you almost have 360 view of the land around: you can can see birds while preparing breakfast or washing dishes, feel the breeze when eating on the patio, hear nature sounds when you wake up and if you’re lucky you can also see koalas, we spotted one just next to the property. We never wanted to leave! Everything is exactly as pictured, wooden interior, curated furniture and a lovely cozy atmosphere. I appreciate when you can feel the love someone put in their home. Plus Brett is a welcoming host, always available, understanding and willing to help; he took time to explain everything in detail and even talked slower for us since our English is a bit rusty and pretty basic :-) Last but not least, a special mention to his sweet dog Chase who played fetch with us, begged us a bite of pizza and made us laugh during our stay.
