We had a great stay at Amara. The property is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They kept the place spotless and cooked breakfast and dinner for us. We loved the pool and the view and Ants the driver helped us get to all the activities we wanted.

This house was INCREDIBLE. The photos are exactly accurate. Best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. The owners helped us set up any activities we wanted and the house keepers and chefs were so kind and generous. I genuinely felt sad to say goodbye to them when we left. The neighborhood felt very safe and the beach nearby was stunning. I’m very much hoping to return soon!

Our trip to Jamaica was fabulous due to our stay at Amara. Neelam is responsive and helpful. The house has gorgeous outdoor space. We loved the views, the breezes, the flowers, the pool, kayak & paddleboard etc. The entire house is impeccably maintained. Jasmin and Marcel are as sweet as can be. They cooked a few meals for us, kept the house spotless and were otherwise there if and when we needed them. Ants and Rico were reliable, expert drivers. We always felt safe. We cannot wait to return to Jamaica and to this lovely home.

My experience was a mix of highs and lows. The house itself was stunning, easily earning 5 stars but my stay was unpleasant due to encounters with the staff. The staff's demeanor was unfriendly throughout our stay, with minimal interaction and unwelcoming attitudes, particularly regarding food orders. Suspicions arose that they were spying on us, staff member was observed hiding in the backyard, then mysteriously disappeared when she was seen. This invasion of privacy significantly detracted from our enjoyment, resulting in 3 stars for staff behavior. Repeated requests for privacy were disregarded as the staff remained present in the house despite being told they were excused. Additionally, the inclusion of a note urging a 10 to 20 % gratuity in the welcome folder was unsettling, considering the high cost of the property and the limited services provided. The proximity of the cruise port which was not mentioned led to disruptive nights. Future guests may want to be mindful of privacy.
