The chalet is beautiful and clean with everything that one might need from plates to pots and washer/dryer, etc. The surrounding area is heaven on earth, very peaceful and relaxing. I stayed there for one week to recuperate after surgery and I couldn’t choose a better place. The hosts, Britney and Pete are wonderful people. Very caring and professional at the same time. I wish I could stay longer.

Review of Pete’s Place The views really are endless here—the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular and a little different each day. Bald eagles, hawks, falcons, ravens, and a variety of smaller birds kept us company through the seven months we stayed here, while searching for property to buy. We are nature lovers, and in addition to the birds, we saw bears, deer, and several foxes, along with rabbits and our beloved chipmunks. This was one of the most peaceful and restorative places we’ve ever been. We are so grateful. The McDade family were wonderful hosts, responding within minutes to all of our needs. They even helped us find our new home! The Wi-Fi was excellent. We were able to work remotely and attend video meetings with no interruptions. The house was stocked with everything we needed, and we felt very at home there. We would definitely visit again, and would recommend this place to all our friends and family. It is truly heaven on earth!

This place is better than advertised! Secluded, surrounded by forests, yet the wifi was still excellent and cell service never wavered. If you want a quiet get away for peace and nature with all the comforts of being at home, this is it.

Great spot on the top of the mountain. Hardly any traffic and yet very high speed wifi. Off the grid yet on the grid... Best of both worlds. Also, 30 mins from nice restaurants in Binghamton. The house itself was nice with a great kitchen space. Brittney was a pleasure to work with, very responsive.
